WTF! This is the most outrageous, insane, and absolutly random animes of all time! I love it! It's an awsome anime with a cool rock theme and a soundtrack by the Pillows. If you see this anime for nothing else, watch it for the sweet rock background music. If you've seen it do you have some questions about it cause I'm sure you do! Luckily for you I've seen it so many times not only does it makes sense, but I can quote it too. "They've got us surrounded." "It's a full scale invasion! they've got snipers too." "Snipers are always so annoying" "wait here I'll go distract their fire. It's pretty dangerous so.." "That's the idea!" "huh?" "This is your final battle. Go and die to prove that you love me!!!!!!!!"
See, creepy huh? Anyway....I guess I can try to explain this to everyone :D
Naota is an average 6th grade student. His brother Tasku is a famous baseball player and recently went off to America to play. Sameiji Mamimi is a high school girl who is somewhat of an outcast. She seems to be Tasku's girlfriend but it seems more likely that Tasku was friendly to her so she automatically became infatuated with him. When Tasku leaves Mamimi begins to hang around Naota. Although you may have thought the name Mamimi calls Noata by, Takun, may just be a nick name, really it comes from Tasku's name. One day as Naota and Mamimi sit and talk a strange woman on a Vespa comes riding by. "Yes this one will work" she says before taking her bass guitar and lodging it at Naota's face. By hitting him with her guitar she opens up a portal that can transport things from far away, even other dimensions. This portal is called N.O. With the portal in Noata's brain open, strange things start to happen.
The city where Noata lives is called Mabase. A few years ago a huge iron shaped factory called Medical mechanica was built in Mabase. Every day the enormous building vents a huge cloud of steam out smothering the city. This is when the plot begins to unfold. The woman who hit Noata's name is Haruhara Haruko and she is supposedly 19 years old. She is searching for an astral being called Atomisk who is said to have so much N.O. that he can steal whole star systems. Haruko aka Raharu has fallen in love with Atomisk or more likely his power. There's a catch though. M.M (medical mechanica) has captured Atomisk. You see M.M's plot is to build their plants all over the universe. They'll then transport their monsters there to activate the plants and iron out the wrinkles on your brain so you can't think.
Everytime something new comes out of Noata's head it creates problems. Not to mention the fact that he's constantly having to wear a hat. The N.O portal in Noata's head has somehow picked up Atomisk's essence. When the 1st robot, later known as Cantide samma or canti appears, the essence of Atomisk becomes split between Noata and Canti. When a new monster comes through the N.O portal Noata and Haruko are forced to fight it. Alone Canti and Noata are useless but when they join they become enfused with Atomisk's power. The only way for this to happen is for Canti to "eat' Noata. Once they've fused Canti changes from blue to red symbolizing Atomisk's strength. Canti then transforms into a cannon and shoots a red bullet at his foes. This bullet actually turns out to be Noata, if that didn't make sense don't worry about it, it's confusing.
Haruko seems to be playing with Noata's feelings by making him act like an adult and treating him like one. "I should teach you how to be a man Takun" she says. Obviously we can see that Haruko is either seriously playing him or has true feelings. However, it appears that somethig like this has happened before. In Mabase there is a man named Commander Amararo. Strangley enough he has nori (seaweed used to wrap sushi) for eyebrows. Apparantly Haruko played him as a child to get what she wanted (who knows what that was.) Amararao also has an N.O. portal even though it appears to be fairly small. He's still trying to impress her or perhaps kill her. The two are so close you can never tell. 
Amararao is trying to warn Noata about just how dangerous Haruko can be but Noata refuses to listen.
The last robot that comes out of Noata's brain is a huge gun weilding hand who almost activates the plant. While Canti and Noata are fused Atomisk's symbol appears on Canti's screen . Canti then pulls a guitar out from his monitor. "It's Atomisk's Gibson EB0 1961 model!" Canti knocks the "terminal core" out of the monstrosity. Without the core it cannot activate the plant. So here sits a giant hand next to a huge iron...Mamimi finds the terminal core and makes it her pet, appropriately named Takun! She feeds it cell phones, and then mopeds, and then entire cars untill the core gets to be about 6 stories high. The core then takes the part of canti that has been enfused with Atomisk. It climbs to the giant hand but it isn't complete. It needs something else. The other part of Atomisk aka Noata! Haruko brings Noata right to the terminal core. She doesn't care what happens to Earth or even the entire universe, she just wants Atomisk. The hand is about to pick up the M.M plant when....out from Canti's screen comes Noata, glowing red with two guitars in his hands. "Takun , you can't do this to me. That power is mine!" yells Haruko as she and Noata battle over Atomisk's N.O. Noata is about to deliver the final swing when he stops and says "I love you" to Haruko. Then an enormous bird with an incredible wingspan comes through then N.O. portal in his head. When I say big I mean as big as the city. The bird is Atomisk. He has a chain on his face which matches the chain on Haruko's wrist. Atomisk opens his own N.O portal and sucks the M.M plant away.
"I lost him again because of you Takun. We couldn't pull it off. Hey you wanna come with me? You know what? Forget it. Cause you're still just a kid" Those are Haruko's last words to Noata as she flies off to some unkown galaxy in search of Atomisk. Mamimi leaves town too. She wants to become a photographer. Noata goes on to Jr. High and the city of Mabase remains quiet for the first time since Haruko came...

Both Jimmy Hendricks and the Carpenters started out like this pyon!"

Character Bios!
Nandaba Naota- Noata was an average grade school student in the city of Mabase. He lived with his father Kamon his grandfather and his cat. However, everything changed for Noata the day an insane alien woman by the name of Haruhara Haruko came to Mabase and smacked him in the face with a base gituar! She disguised herself as a housekepper and got a job "taking care" of Nandaba family house. Soon after her arrival robots began comming through the N.O. portal Haruko openened in Noata's brain, Noata becomes aware that things arn't going to be the same any more.
Haruhara Haruko - It seems that Haruko is a part of an organization meant to stop M.M's production of factories all over the universe and it's attempt to flaten out the wrinkles on your brain. She was sent to Earth to stop the plant but she has her own agenda. She wants an Astral being called Atomisk. She wishes to use his imense N.O. for her own bidding. In order to get to Atomisk, who is being held captive by M.M, she needs to activate the M.M. factory. She opens the N.O portal in Noata in an attempt to activate the plant. in the end her plans are stoped by Noata who recieved the powers of Atomisk.
Sameiji Mamimi- A high school student who was once in love with Noata's brother Tasku. She has attached herself to Noata and calls him Takkun which appears to be a cutsie form of Tasku or maybe ta(last character is Noata's name)+kun( kun is boy in Japanese) I have absolutely no idea what went on between Sameiji and Tasku but it is apparent that she was very attached to him. Noata is just Sameiji's replacment for Tasku. She's just a lonely outcast who needs a friend. However, when Haruko shows up she begins to distance herself from Noata and finds another replacement for Tasku. This would be the M.M core appearing in the last episode and the little black cat, both of she approrpriately names "Takkun"
Ninamori Eiri- Ninamori is the stylish, posh, class president at Noata's school. Apparently her father has become involved in some sort of scandel which has left him very wealthy. Not only that but he has also been cheating on his wife with his secretary. Ninamori's homelife is in shambles and so she begins to obsess over the school play, making it her life just so she has soem time to not worry about her home. Due to the large stress put on her, an NO portal opens in Ninamori-sans head. She was completly embarresed in front of her class and itt was thought she would transfer to another school. However, she stayed. Her father wasn't prostecuted either so ,in the end, things turn out pretty good for her. I've heard that she was the favorite character of the creators so they gave her a new hair style and new cloths in every episode she appeared in.
Kanti- Kanti was the first robot to be transported through the NO portal in Noata's brain. He has gone rouge and no longer serves M.M. He helps Haruko fight other MM monsters and he can even fuse with Noata to make a giant cannon. In the end he turns out to be a part of the terminal core.
Amarao- He is the comander of the Beuro of Interstallar Immigrations. he had some sort of involvement with Haruko in the past now he is just trying to save the planet and Noata from Haruko. He also has Nori (seeweeed) eyebrows
