PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This season the reality adventure series returns to it's International format. Eleven teams of two with pre-existing relationships will travel to exotic locations, spanning five continents. They'll never know where they are going next or what they'll have to do once they get there. At every destination, each team will have to compete in a series of challenges- some mental and some physical- and only when the tasks have been completed will they learn their next destination. Teams who are farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.

THE AMAZING RACE 8: FAMILY EDITION- SEASON ENDED DECEMBER 13, 2006
FINAL RESULTS: The Linz Family (see photo, courtesy of CBS) came in first at the final pitstop in Lewiston, NY and won the $1 million dollar grand prize! The Bransen Family came in second and the Weaver Family came in third at the final pitstop.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The first ever all-family installment of the two-time Emmy Award-winning adventure reality game series hosted again by Phil Keoghan. Ten teams comprised of four family members will set out on a trek around the world for approximately 30 days in the hopes that they will be the first Team to arrive at the final destination and win $1 million dollars! The Teams will never know where they're going next or what they'll have to do once there. Each Team's relationship will be forever changed by their experience in this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Along the way, the Teams will compete in a series of tasks, some mental and some physical, before learning their next destination. Restricted plane travel and strict budgets will add to the tension as Teams are forced to rely on wit and ingenuity, perhaps sleeping on park benches or in bus stations and traveling on buses, trains, boats, taxis, bicycles, even camels. (11/22: 1st to arrive at the pitstop in Salt Lake City, UT and therefore won a trip for four to Jackson Hall, Wyoming, 12/06: became one of the Final 3, 12/13: first to the final pitstop in Lewiston, NY thus winning the $1 million dollar grand prize!)
- The Bransen Family- from Park Ridge, IL; consisting of father Walter, 51 and his three daughters Elizabeth, 25, Lauren, 22 and Lindsay, 20. They appeared in a Pert Shampoo commercial together several years ago. (10/11: 1st to arrive at pitstop in Huntsville, AL and therefore won free gas for life from any BP or Arco gas station, 10/18: 1st to arrive at the pitstop in New Orleans, LA and therefore won a trip for four to Orlando, FL and tickets to both Universal Studios theme parks, 11/08: last team to arrive at the pitstop in Fort McDowell, AZ but it was a non-elimination round thus they were not eliminated but did have to start the next round with no money or belongings except their passports and clothes on their backs, 12/06: first team to arrive at the pitstop in Absarokee, MT, thus winning a brand new 2006 Buick Lucerne and a spot in the Final 3, 12/13: Came in second at the final pitstop in Lewiston, NY)
- The Weaver Family- from Ormond Beach, FL; consisting of Linda, 46 and her three children Rebecca, 19, Rachel, 16 and Rolly, 14. Linda's husband and father of her children was killed in an accident at Daytona International Speedway almost two years ago. (10/04: 1st to arrive at the pitstop in Middleburg, VA and therefore won a trip for four to Bermuda, 11/22: last to arrive at the pitstop in Salt Lake City, UT but were not eliminated because it was a non-elimination round but do have to start the next leg with only the clothes on their backs and thier passports but no money, 12/06: became one of the Final 3, 12/13: Came in last at the final pitstop in Lewiston, NY)
- The Godlewski Family- from Des Plains, IL; consisting of four sisters, Michelle, 42, Sharon, 39, Christine, 37 and Tricia, 26. Each sister has her own personality which might cause some roadblocks on their own along the way. (9/27: first team to arrive at the pitstop in Lancaster, PA and therefore won $20,000, 10/25: came in last at the pitstop in Panama City, Panama but it was a non-elimination round so they just have to start the next round with no money and no belongings except their passports and the clothes they have on, 11/08: first team to arrive at the pitstop in Fort McDowell, AZ, thus winning a trip for four to Belize, 11/08: first team to arrive at the pitstop in Lake Powell, AZ, thus winning a Jayco Travel Trailer, 12/06: last team to arrive at the pitstop in Absarokee, MT, thus becoming the 7th team eliminated)
- The Paolo Family- from Carmel, NY; consisting of Tony, 52, his wife Marion, 52 and their two sons DJ, 24 and Brian, 16. This family bickers constantly but are very lovable. (10/25: 1st to arrive at the pitstop in Panama City, Panama and received a vacation for four to Panama, 11/01: 1st to arrive at the pitstop in Quepos, Costa Rica, thus receiving their choice of an ATV, jet ski, Vespa scooter or Segway for each of the four family members, 11/08: last team to arrive at the pitstop in Lake Powell, AZ, thus becoming the 6th team eliminated)
- The Gaghan Family- from Glastonbury, CT; consisting of Bill, 40, his wife Tammy, 42 and their two children Billy, 12 and Carissa, 9. Bill is hoping The Race will show his family the importance of working together as a team and the benefits of never giving up. (11/01: came in last at the 6th pitstop in Quepos, Costa Rica, thus being the 5th team eliminated)
- The Schroeder Family- from New Orleans, LA; consisting of Mark, 40, stepmother Char, 39 and his two children from a previous marriage Sassi, 17 and Hunter, 15. Mark is hoping his family will learn what it means to rely on each other. (10/18: came in last at the 4th pitstop in New Orleans, LA, thus becoming the 4th team eliminated)
- The Aiello Family- from Mansfield, MA; consisting of Tony, 57 and his three sons-in-law Kevin, 31, Matt, 31 and David, 26. Tony leads his three sons-in-law compelled by the gnawing curiosity about how they would handle such a competition on their first trip without their wives (Tony's daughters) by their sides. (10/11: came in last at the 3rd pitstop in Huntsville, AL, thus becoming the 3rd team eliminated)
- The Rogers Family- from Shreveport, LA; consisting of Denny, 46, his wife Renee, 42 and their two children Brittney, 22 and Brock, 19. The Rogers are competitive and ready to race. Denny's motto is: "We never enter anything unless we intend to win." (10/04: came in last at the 2nd pitstop in Middleburg, VA, thus becoming the 2nd team eliminated)
- The Black Family- from Woodbrigde, VA; consisting of Reggie, 42, his wife of 17 years Kimberly, 40 and their two sons Kenneth, 11 and Austin, 8. This family is the epitome of dedication and heart. Despite their limited traveling experience they are determined to show they have what it takes to compete. One by one the Houseguests will vote each other out; the last remaining HouseGuest will receive the $500,000 Grand Prize! BIG BROTHER 5: PROJECT DNA- SEASON ENDED SEPTEMBER 21, 2004
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Thirteen strangers, well fourteen if you count the switching twins, lived together in the Big Brother House, which was outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. In a live ballot each Thursday, the HouseGuests voted one of their own out of the house. At the end of three months, the last remaining HouseGuest received the Grand Prize of $500,000. There were twists this season that gave it the theme of Project DNA (Do Not Assume) one of which was that 2 of the houseguests are related but didn't know it, Michael Ellis and Jennifer Dedmon are half brother & sister. Another twist was that one of the houseguests, Adria Okins, had an identical twin, Natalie, that she switched places with, without the other houseguests knowing. When they made it 5 weeks without anyone finding out, they both got to play the game together. Hosted by Julie Chen.

FINAL RESULTS: After the final competition in which the three finalist, Princess, Elizabeth and Chris C. were given the help of the previously eliminated contestants to design and make their own clothes and set them up in a store display window, Tommy Hilfiger first eliminated Elizabeth Saab and then Princess Warren, thus hiring Chris Cortez to work for his company!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This four-episode reality series followed two people starting new jobs on the same day, with the goal of intentionally getting fired by 3PM. To most people, getting fired seems like it would be the end of the world, but what if getting fired meant you could win $25,000? The person that gets fired closest to, but does not go past, the 3PM deadline wins the cash prize. Hidden cameras capture the action as the participants drive their managers and co-workers crazy with outrageous behavior. ROCK STAR: INXS- SERIES ENDED SEPTEMBER 20, 2005
FINAL RESULTS: Marty Casey, MiG Ayesa and J.D. Fortune made it to the Final 3 on September 20, 2005. After performing one song each, INXS eliminated MiG Ayesa. Then Marty and J.D. each performed one of INXS' songs with INXS. They then chose J.D. Fortune to be the new lead singer of INXS. He will record an album with them and go on tour with them.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: A new reality show executive produced by Survivor's Mark Burnett. The show combined the world of rock music with relationship-style unscripted drama, performance competition and a weekly contestant elimination. The last singer standing (JD Fortune) became the lead singer of the internationally renowned band INXS, replacing former lead singer Michael Hutchence who committed suicide in 1997. They will embark on a worldwide concert tour with the band and will be part of the group's new album. The 15 performers were housed together in a Hollywood Hills mansion. Each week featured segments focusing on the performers' relationships and activities, along with a performance competition and weekly results. The contestants performed on Tuesday nights, then after the show America (and other parts of the world) had 4 hours to vote for their favorites. On Wednesday night's show, INXS eliminated one of the 3 with the least amount of votes after they had each of them perform an INXS song. The INXS band (see photo, click for bio) consists of Kirk Pengilly, Garry Beers and brothers Tim, Andrew and Jon Farriss. The hosts were celebrated rock guitarist Dave Navarro (husband of Carmen Electra) and Brooke Burke. (program description taken from official website)

SURVIVOR 12: PANAMA, EXILE ISLANDS- Thursdays, 8pm
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The first and most popular reality series ever returns for a twelveth season with even more twists and turns. At first separated into four tribes by gender and age; the Older Women, Older Men, Younger Women and Younger Men, they met host Jeff Probst on Exile Island. There, he explained that each week, at least one Survivor will be banished to the Island, forced to live on their own away from their tribe until they're allowed back into the game. On the 2nd episode the four tribes merged into two. Each week there will be Reward Challenges, Immunity Challenges and of course, Tribal Council, where at least one castaway will be voted out.

SURVIVOR 11: GUATEMALA, THE MAYA EMPIRE- SEASON ENDED DECEMBER 11, 2005
FINAL RESULTS: Danni Boatwright (see photo below) was voted Sole Survivor by the jury of seven and won the $1 Million dollar grand prize. Stephanie LaGrossa was runner-up and won a $100,000 cash prize.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Stranded deep in the Guatemalan rainforests amidst the ruins of an ancient civilization, 18 castaways must live together and compete for the million-dollar prize! There are suppose to be some big surprises and new twists in this 11th season of the game where you have to Outwit, OutPlay and OutLast the other contestants to win the grand prize. I know 3 of the contestants have twins but don't know if that will play a part in the game or not. Former Survivor: Palau contestants Bobby Jon Drinkard and Stephenie LaGrossa will be joining the contestants too. Still hosted by Jeff Probst.

SURVIVOR 8: PANAMA: ALL-STARS- SEASON ENDED MAY 13, 2004
FINAL RESULTS: Amber Brkich from Beaver, PA won the $1 million dollars. Rob Mariano (Boston Rob) was 1st runner up and won $250,000. Rob and Amber were engaged to be married on the live finale. Rob and Amber had also won vehicles during the competition; Rob won a Chevy Z71 Colorado pickup truck and Amber was given a GM Malibu. On the finale show, Amber was given the power to give one contestant (besides Rob) a new GM Envoy SUV. She gave it to Shii-Ann since she felt she was the swing vote that won her the million. On a special second finale this season, titled "America's Tribal Council", America (including me) awarded Rupert Boneham with a 2nd (for this season) $1 million. UPDATE: Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich got married in May, 2005.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Contestants from previous Survivor shows return to try and "outwit, outplay and outlast" each other on a deserted island with not much more than the clothes on their backs to win $1 million. Hosted by Jeff Probst.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?- Monday-Friday, 10:30am
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Trivia type game show where contestants answer questions to try and win $1 million. New season adds a 4th lifeline called "switch the question" usable after you reach the new $25,000 plato plus now all of America can vote using AOL or AIM when someone uses the "Ask The Audience" lifeline (see website for more info). You can play an online version of the game on the website too but it's only for fun. Hosted by Meredith Vieria who is also a host on the talk show The View.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Emmy Award-winning journalist Joan Lunden hosted this new reality show that pitted 12 people with a creative knack for the finer things in life in a no-holds-barred competition to crown the country's new authority on at-home living. These perfection-obsessed contestants, whose motto is "anything you can do, I can do better," competed in different areas of beautifying the home and entertaining, including party planning, gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, crafts, floral arranging and decorating. In addition to chronicling the sometimes funny, sometimes factious relationships that developed among the tightly wound, extremely competitive participants, each week a contestant was eliminated from their luxurious estate located in New England. Renowned chef and restaurateur Bobby Flay (Mesa Grill), Emmy Award-nominated stylist David Evangelista ("The Rosie O'Donnell Show") and best-selling author Candace Bushnell ("Sex and the City" and "Trading Up") served as judges. The winner received numerous prizes, including six appearances on "The Early Show" on CBS, a development deal for a lifestyle-oriented television show and a publishing deal with Atria Books, a division of premier publisher Simon & Schuster. - ARTISAN TEAM: Kimberly (7th eliminated then returned to competition on 9th episode, Individual Finalist, Winner, click photo for bio, courtesy of CBS), 32, a homemaker from Atlanta, GA; Mitch (moved from Crafty Beavers team on 8th episode, Individual Finalist, Runner-Up), 40, a product designer from Chicago, IL; Dawn (Individual Finalist, 11th eliminated), 33, a first grade teacher from Magnolia, TX; Thomas (1st eliminated), 41, a small business owner from Leland, MI; Denise (moved from Crafty Beavers team on 3rd episode, 6th eliminated), 39, a homemaker from Los Angeles, CA; Margo (5th eliminated), 40, a purchasing supervisor from Oceanside, CA; Michelle (2nd eliminated), 26, a professional baker from Dana Point, CA.
- CRAFTY BEAVERS TEAM: Amy (Individual Finalist, 10th eliminated), 32, an art studio owner from New York, NY; Heather (Individual Finalist, 9th eliminated), 25, a business owner from Los Angeles, CA; Darlene (moved from team Artisan on 5th episode, 8th eliminated), 46, a product demonstrator for the Home Shopping Network from Newport Richey, FL; Mychael (3rd eliminated), 33, a professional caterer from San Francisco, CA and Tim (4th eliminated), 25, a carpenter from Punta Gorda, FL.
FINAL RESULTS: After finalist Kimberly & Mitch each came up with a concept for and designed their own homemakers/designers magazine cover and each threw their own party to unvail it, all with a $20,000 budget, the judges picked 32-year-old Kimberly from Atlanta, GA as the winner. For winning she received a new 2005 GMC SUV, a book deal with Atria Books, 6 appearances on CBS's "The Early Show" and her own lifestyle-oriented program with KingWorld.
