Family News and Notes August 22, 2006
Robbie has started back to school last week. It is kind of odd to have the house so quiet during the day. He loves his school, his teacher, and his friends. He is also very good about getting his homework done so that is good. For those of you who were not aware Robbie accepted the Lord as his Savior of July 12th . He will be baptized as soon as the work on our churches new baptistery is complete. I have included some pictures of Robbie’s first day of First Grade in the photo album, feel free to look and share. We once again signed Robbie up for AYSO Soccer this year. He really liked playing and I think that Amy and I got just as much fun out of watching him. Don’t worry, pictures of his games are forth coming.
Amy and I have consented to help with the Christmas program for First Baptist Christian School. We felt that it was a ministry that the Lord could use us in to help out at Robbie’s school. This year I also am serving on the school board as the parent representative. As far as Nate goes, he loves being home alone with mom and dad. He gets to play with the toys he wants and it is quite enough for a nap in the afternoon. Yes folks Nate is in Heaven!
We are praying about an opportunity the Lord has opened up for us. While right now I will withhold the details, we still would like you to pray about it with us. In 2 weeks I am going to New Mexico to attend a Labor Day Bible Conference at Pastor Clyde Gillman’s church. I am looking forward to a great time and some great preaching and fellowship. I will have news and pictures when I return. That is all for now, you can always reach me or Amy via E-Mail at kenh246@hotmail.com .
