Our next meeting is May 25th. We're having a W.I.P. (Work in Progress) meeting and will be holding some discussions in regards to plans for next year's projects and workshops as well as the 2009 Miniature Show and Sale. We will also be discussing the possibility of working on a project as a group for a charity of our choosing.
The 1/4 scale house workshop was excellent fun! We spent two days working on our miniature houses and enjoying great conversation and laughter with fellow miniaturists. From everyone involved in the workshop, we'd like to say thank you to Louise for designing such a fantastic workshop and thank you to Marnie for being such a gracious host and giving up her kitchen table for two days!
The April 2008 Show and Sale was a wonderful success! Despite the first beautiful day in weeks, we still had a great crowd of people show up to view the member's projects on display and to browse and shop from the many vendors who attended the show. We'd like to say thank you to all of our vendors who attended the show this year and for donating so generously to our door prizes. Special thanks goes to Barb and Paul for donating so much time and energy into making the show the success it was. We couldn't have done it without you two!
