09/24/07 -
Zac Efron and
Vanessa Hudgens are still together and they were having a romantic lunch at Aroma Cafe in the Valley on Saturday afternoon. See pics in "More Zac Pictures" section!
09/22/07 - Zac Efron, a self-proclaimed video game fanatic, will be hosting the Halo 3 Midnight Madness Launch event in LA on Monday, 9/24 from 11pm – 12am PST at the GameStop on 1000 Universal Studios Blvd in Universal City. Zac has said of the violent video games he plays: “It’s bull____ that guns in video games cause murders. The last thing I would ever do is hurt another person, and online I probably kill 200 guys a day.”
09/20/07 - Christina Ricci and Emile Hirsch will tear up the screen next summer in a live-action remake of the old "Speed Racer" cartoon. But a source close to the writer/directors, the Wachowski siblings, tells us their earlier choices were Rose McGowan and Zac Efron. Efron may be taking over the world with the "High School Musical" franchise, but his youth worked against him for the part of Speed. "During his auditions, Zac never connected to the romantic lead in the reading," says our source. "By the second round, the casting crew didn't feel he was believable as a leading man/hero."
09/20/07 - Pop star Kelly Clarkson will tour Australia next year. The March 2008 dates will be Kelly's first time on stage in Australia since her successful tour of 2005. "My December is a journal of my last two years. The songs go from emotional ballads to fun rockers. I can't wait to perform them live for all my fans in Australia," Kelly says. Promoter Andrew McManus said: "Everyone who saw Kelly instantly knew she was one of those incredible talents that rarely comes along. It's not just her powerhouse voice, it's the passion she has for performing and that special X factor that only true stars possess. She really is something special." Tickets go on sale October 8.
09/17/07 - Lindsay Lohan has vowed to quit Hollywood in an attempt to stay clean from drugs, according to her father. Michael Lohan reunited with his daughter earlier this month in Utah, where the actress is seeking counseling at the Cirque Lodge treatment center. He says, "When we finally came face to face we just clung on to each other and did not stop crying for at least half an hour. "Lindsay said, 'I have done some terrible things and been addicted to drugs, but please believe me,
I will never do drugs again.
I hate Hollywood and I don't want to work there. I need a break and I am moving away. I will stop hanging around with the people that are bad for me.'
09/17/07- Vanessa Hudgens - the Disney actor currently in the midst of a snowballing nude scandal - has finally got something to smile about, with her boyfriend, fellow actor Zac Efron, finally offering his support. As the naked pictures hit the internet last week causing a media storm, the High School Musical star's boyfriend Efron has kept a stubborn silence - despite widespread gossip that he had been responsible for the leaking of the privately taken photos. But now, according to a report from the US National Ledger, Zac has vowed his support for his pint sized squeeze. The website reports that Zac demonstrated how much he cares for Vanessa – spending last week standing by her. "It was supposed to be Zac's moment and Vanessa's chance to support him," the insider was quoted as saying, "but then the scandal broke, and the world was watching Vanessa, and Zac was there for her. He did the right thing. He was her rock." According to the web report, after learning the photos had been discovered, Vanessa "freaked out" and immediately fled LA, joining Zac, 19, in Australia to promote his movie Hairspray. "She looked shell-shocked," an onlooker was reported as saying, who spotted the couple in Melbourne on September 8. "She was devastated and beyond embarrassed," confirmed an industry insider. Hudgens has now returned to Los Angeles. According to the same report, the leaked full frontal shot – which showed a naked Vanessa posing seductively - was among those originally sent to Drake Bell, the star of the Nickelodeon show Josh & Drake. His rep says Drake never received the photos, but the insider explained that Vanessa thought the photos "would get him interested."

09/15/07 - Hairspray is set to be out on DVD November 20th!
09/15/07 - Reba McEntire will appear on the The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday. She'll perform duets with Kelly Clarkson and Justin Timberlake from her new CD, "Reba Duets", which will be released Tuesday! Can't wait! Btw, the video is awesome!
09/10/07 - A newly posted nude photo of wholesome "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens has caused an Internet stir and raised a new publicity challenge for the Walt Disney Co.'s squeaky-clean flagship cable network. A representative for Hudgens confirmed on Friday that the image is of the 18-year-old actress. The picture shows her standing fully naked in what appears to be a bathroom, smiling at the camera. "This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter, and it is unfortunate that this has become public," Hudgen's representative said in a statement. Vanessa apologized on Friday for the photo and Walt Disney Co. said it was sticking by the performer. Some parents of her young fans voiced dismay over the photo. "I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me," Hudgens said in a statement.
"I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends."
In a statement, Disney said it hoped Hudgens had learned a valuable lesson. "Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment." A Disney representative said the photo would not affect its decision to cast Hudgens in the third film of the "High School Musical" franchise and that negotiations for the cast and creative team were continuing. Following the appearance on the Web of a nude photo of Vanessa Hudgens, an insider reportedly said the "High School Musical" actress once sent risqué photos of herself to Nickelodeon star Drake Bell. Hudgens had e-mailed photos to the "Drake and Josh" actor a couple of years ago, before she was famous, a source told People magazine. "Drake says he never received those photos," Bell's rep, Jill Fritzo, told People regarding the images that began hitting blogs on Thursday.
09/10/07 - Burr Steers has signed on to direct Zac Efron in the New Line comedy "17." According to the industry trade papers, Jason Filardi wrote the film, which harkens back to the classic body-swapping genre of the mid-70s and late-80s. The story focuses on a grown man who wakes up one morning to find that he's 17 again, forcing him to relive high school.
09/08/07 - Don't miss the High School Musical 2: Dance Along, which will air tonight on the Disney Channel.
09/04/07 - Kelly Clarkson, who scrapped an earlier tour this summer due to slow sales, is heading back on the road this fall. The Grammy-winning singer announced Tuesday she would kick off a theater tour Oct. 14 at New York City's Beacon Theater, winding down in Nashville on Dec. 4 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. "I'm getting pumped to get out there and rock with y'all," she said in a statement. "We intend to blow the roof off these theaters." Check out the date and venues at Kelly's page on this site!
08/31/07 - OMG! This could ruin "High School Musical" forever!
High School Musical beauty Vanessa Hudgens is terrified her squeaky-clean image will be ruined after nude snaps of her reportedly surfaced in the US. The actress fears her career could be in jeopardy after the photographs, which she sent to co-star boyfriend Zac Efron, fell into the wrong hands. They show her in various states of undress, posing sexily for the camera, according to US reports. An insider revealed: "She took some suggestive shots of herself in the buff as a surprise for Zac. "Vanessa is only 19-years-old so she had no idea how her flirtatious act could threaten the future of the show. "She just wanted to keep Zac interested." The insider told a US magazine: "It's a kid's show. "Naked pictures of one of the stars would be catastrophic." The images featuring Vanessa, who plays Gabriella Montez in the hit franchise, are said to have fallen into the hands of a third party. A source revealed: "Vanessa took photos of herself naked except for a gold chain around her waist. "She also photographed herself naked in the bathtub, blowing kisses and sensuously pulling down her bikini bottom. And she took a photo on the beach of her wearing a Zac button pinned to the top of her swimsuit."

08/31/07 - Kelly Clarkson has been nominated for a 2007 Country Music Award! Her duet of "Because of You" with Reba McEntire was nominated for Musical Event of the Year.
08/31/07 - Kelly Clarkson’s summer 2007 tour may have been canceled (reportedly due to low ticket sales), but the “American Idol” winner has sold out a string of show’s at New York City’s Beacon Theater. The Beacon Theater has a seating capacity of about 2,800 people. The sold-out concerts will take place October 14, 15 and 16. They will be part of a soon-to-be announced fall tour for Clarkson in which she will perform in smaller venues than the concert halls that were booked for her canceled tour.
08/31/07 - Lindsay Lohan has failed a drug test in rehab. The troubled actress, who's seeking help for drug and alcohol addiction in Utah's Cirque Lodge, was hauled into the director's office and forced to take the test. The results allegedly came back positive. Lohan, 21, has now been warned that if she does not stay clean she will be thrown out of the center. This could be very serious for the star. Only last week she pleaded no contest to drink-driving and possessing cocaine and was sentenced to just one day in jail. Part of her plea bargain hinges on her completing the rehab programme or she could face a lengthy jail sentence. A source said: "During the test Lindsay screamed and cursed at the medical director before storming out of the room." According to reports it is not Lohan's first indiscretion since entering Cirque Lodge earlier this month. She is said to have been caught having sex in a lavatory cubicle with a male patient, and reportedly refuses to do any chores.

08/31/07 - According to www.tommy2.net, Kelly Clarkson's "My December" has sold over 600,000 copies!
08/31/07 - Billboard is reporting that High School Musical 2 will take the number one spot in sales for its second week in a row. According to Nielsen SoundScan, 367,000 copies were sold! Even though that represents a 40% drop, it’s the smallest drop off an album selling over 500,000 has had since February 2004. The soundtrack has now sold over 982,000 copies in its first two weeks in stores, which also means it will officially go platinum next week!
08/29/07 - www.newsday.com has posted a great article about Zac Efron and his career. Check it out:

08/29/07 - Stars including Tony Bennett, Kelly Clarkson, Matchbox Twenty, and Carlos Santana are teaming up to play a benefit concert for at-risk children in Las Vegas in October. The 12th annual event, which will also feature comedian Jerry Seinfeld, has been assembled by The Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation (AACF), which raises funds for at-risk youth in southern Nevada, where tennis ace Agassi was raised. The concert takes place at the MGM Grand hotel and casino in the gambling mecca on October 6.
08/29/07 - Kelly Clarkson's live comeback is hitting an early stride. According to her label, tickets for the singer's October 15 and 16 shows at New York's Beacon Theatre sold out in under 20 minutes, prompting the addition of a third show on October 14, which also sold out over the weekend. So much for poor ticket sales!
08/28/07 - "High School Musical 2" comes to DVD and Blu-ray High-Def in an extended edition on December 11, 2007 from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. There's a special bonus musical scene available only on DVD and Blu-ray High-Def, seamlessly intergrated into the film, in which audiences can finally see the musical number Troy and Sharpay rehearse in the film, but never perform. The scene features Sharpay playing the Pineapple Princess looking for her Fresh Fish Prince in the lavish Polynesian fantasy "Humuhumunukunukua'pua'a," which Sharpay goes all out to win Troy - and the Star Dazzle Award at the Midsummer Night's Talent Show. The number is complete with a hip-hop ode to Mighty Mount Fufu.

08/28/07 - According to TV Guide, High School Musical 2 will be released on DVD December 11th! Plus, Elijah Kelly announced at the Teen Choice Awards that "Hairspray" will be released on DVD in November!

The Disney Channel star will co-host the October 10 event with Australian band the Veronicas(they rock!) in Sydney. The Kids Choice Awards are organized by Disney rival Nickelodeon. Efron will also be in Sydney on September 5 for the Down Under premiere of the musical feature "Hairspray," while the record-breaking "High School Musical 2" will debut on Disney Channel Australia on September 22.
08/28/07 - Check out new pics of Kelly Clarkson and her new do at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards on her page on this site! Btw, she's blonde now!
08/26/07 - "Hairspray" was STILL in the top ten this weekend, ranking at number and earning $3,265,384, bringing it's 6-week total to an astounding $107,271,846! "Hairspray" is only the tenth movie musical to break the $100 million mark, and the third in recent years, following the Oscar winners, "Chicago" and "Dreamgirls"!
08/26/07 - Don't miss the 2007 Teen Choice Awards tonight on FOX, where Kelly Clarkson will be performing and Zac Efron will be making an appearance!
08/25/07 - Lindsay Lohan's movie, "Georgia Rule" will be available on DVD on September 5!

08/25/07 - In February, Disney announced that the third installment of the "High School Musical" franchise would be a feature titled "Haunted High School Musical." TV Guide says that the studio has changed it's mind:
A Disney spokesperson confirms for TVGuide.com that plans to set the next entry — a theatrical release, and for which none of the major stars have yet inked deals — during Halloween and in some sort of haunted house have been dropped. Instead, HSM3 will be centered on the fast-growing "kids'" senior year.
08/25/07 - In just one week, the "High School Musical 2" soundtrack shot to No. 1 on the Billboard charts, selling 615,000 copies! "It has a very good shot at being the top-selling album of the year," observes Entertainment Weekly's Chris Willman. The soundtrack has already been certified Gold and has sold more copies than Kelly Clarkson's "My December" album, all in it's first week in stores! Also enjoying a resurgence, the music from the first film, which jumped from the 28th slot last week to No. 16.
08/25/07 - High School Musical star Zac Efron has turned down the chance to appear in a big-screen version of the made-for-TV hit, according to reports. The 19-year-old actor and his co-star Vanessa Hudgens have allegedly been offered $1 million by Disney to sign up to the film adaptation, but are still in talks with movie producers. A source tells the New York gossip column PageSix, Disney are "only offering them $1 million each. Zac and Vanessa aren't going to do it." However, a spokesperson for the studio insists, "We are still in negotiations with the entire cast, but we don't comment on the specifics of negotiations."
08/25/07 - Kelly Clarkson has reinstated plans to tour the U.S. this year! - With a much smaller tour than the one she cancelled two months ago. In June, the pop star ditched plans to promote her new album My December because of "poor ticket sales". The cancellation came just days after she fired her manager. Two months on Clarkson has finalised plans for a series of dates starting in October in Verona, New York State - in venues significantly smaller than those previously booked, reports MTV. Could New Mexico be a possible "significantly smaller venue"? Let's hope!
08/25/07 - (UPDATE) Kelly Clarkson has regrouped from the public relations and managerial missteps that marred her "My December" album release and now it looks like she's ready to move forward. She apologized to her label CEO Clive Davis last month, announced that she's already working on another album (one that's presumably more Clive-friendly) and now, she's working on a brand new tour, which includes two nights at the Beacon Theatre on Oct. 15 and 16. This tour replaces her summer plans to play arenas and amphitheaters, an idea that was scrapped due to slow ticket sales shortly after the disappointing sales of her album. Only two months into her chart run, Clarkson has no singles in Billboard's Top 100, aside from her duet with Reba McEntire on a remake of "Because of You," and "My December" sits at No. 36.
"I really regret how this has turned out and I apologize to those whom I have done disservice," she said in a statement on her website.
"I would never intentionally hurt anyone. I love music, and I love the people I am blessed to work with."
08/25/07 - Lindsay Lohan reached a plea deal Thursday on misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges that calls for her to spend ONE DAY in jail, serve 10 days of community service and complete a drug treatment program. She was also placed on 36 months probation, is required to complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines and must complete a three-day county coroner program in which she'll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.
"It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs," Lohan said.
She said she did things she was ashamed of. "I broke the law and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to the charges in my case."
"She's getting what everyone else would get," Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers said after an hourlong hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge H. Chester Horn Jr.'s courtroom. Terms of the plea bargain were worked out in chambers. If Lohan were to be convicted of another DUI, she would receive a mandatory 120-day jail sentence, Meyers said. "No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have," Lohan went on. Lohan was charged earlier in the day with seven misdemeanors stemming from two drunken-driving arrests in the last four months. More serious felony drug charges were not filed, prosecutors said, because tests showed there wasn't enough cocaine on her to warrant them. Attorney Blair Berk entered pleas on Lohan's behalf: she pleaded guilty to two counts of being under the influence of cocaine; no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above .08 percent and one count of reckless driving. Two counts of driving under the influence were dropped.
08/20/07 - While grabbing a bite to eat at North Hollywood’s Aroma Cafe on Saturday, Zac Efron hid behind a tape-bound script for screenplay Me and Orson Welles, provided by his agency, Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Zac would play 17-year-old Richard Samuels whose theatrical dreams are answered when Orson Welles offers him a small role in his Broadway debut of Julius Caesar (The film would be set in the 1930s).

08/20/07 - "Hairspray" is still making bank! It ranked at #7 this weekend, taking in $4,274,000, to bring it's 5 week total to $100,577,00! It's officially a $100 million dollar hit!
08/20/07 - Insiders say that Lindsay Lohan has let Universal Records know she’s ready to record her third album. Lindsay’s first album sold 1.6 million copies and her second just over 600,000.
08/20/07 - "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2" BREAKS RECORDS:
Disney Channel's highly anticipated "High School Musical 2" danced its way to history Friday night when 17.24 million viewers tuned in, making the original movie's debut the most-watched basic cable telecast of all time. "HSM 2," a sequel to the successful 2006 movie that has spawned all manner of spin-offs, surpassed the previous record holder, ESPN's "Monday Night Football" game on September 23, 2006, which averaged 16 million viewers. It also shattered the previous basic cable record for an entertainment program, surpassing the 12.5 million viewers who saw the 2001 premiere of the TNT Western "Crossfire Trail." Overall, "HSM 2" was the most watched program on television since the season finale of Fox's hit drama "House" on May 29 logged 17.26 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, "HSM 2" ranked as the most-watched TV telecast ever in kids 6-11 (6.1 million) as well as the most-watched entertainment telecast ever (and the second-highest-rated overall, behind only the 2004 Super Bowl) among tweens 9-14 (5.9 million). The numbers, which include an eye-popping 9.4 million cable homes, would be even higher if the fact that many kids and parents nationwide gathered to watch at viewing parties was taken into account. "Breaking the viewership record is terrific, but records come and go, and what's really important is the impact the 'High School Musical' movies have had on kids all over America and all over the world," said Gary Marsh, Disney Channel Worldwide entertainment president. "HSM 2" also dwarfed the broadcast competition to become the most-watched Friday telecast in more than five years. It drew as many viewers as the Big Four broadcast networks combined and led Disney Channel to its second Friday win in the entire Nielsen universe after the cable channel's victory from 8-9:30 p.m. on July 19. "HSM 2" had emerged as the TV event of the summer for preteen girls, who for weeks were planning parties tied to the premiere. As a precursor to the records to come, an encore telecast of the original "High School Musical" on Thursday drew 6 million viewers, an astounding 78% of the 7.7 million who watched the premiere of the film in 2006 and good enough for third place overall on the night behind only Fox and CBS. In a sign of the franchise's meteoric rise from cable telefilm to cultural phenomenon, the second installment's marketing campaign included a giant billboard ad on Sunset Boulevard, a spot normally reserved for blockbuster features like "Pirates of the Caribbean." Since the first "Musical" movie premiered, it has become a global phenomenon and a lucrative franchise for the Walt Disney Co., spawning successful DVDs, CDs, games, live performances and lines of clothing and merchandise. "Musical"-related consumer products alone are expected to bring in $650 million in sales in fiscal-year 2008. A "Musical 3" feature is in the works at Walt Disney Pictures for release next year.
08/20/07 - Lindsay Lohan may be in rehab, but that's not stopping her from being on the cover of Maxim and Elle magazine! She is on the cover of both mags for their September issue.

08/18/07 - "Hairspray" has already made $92,139,670 and is set to pass the coveted $100 million mark by next weekend! Congrats, Zac! Your first big screen movie has become one of the most successful movie musicals of all time!
08/18/07 - Disney’s High School Musical 2 premiered on the Disney Channel this weekend, and all signs point to it being a massive success. The first indicator? The soundtrack, which was released Tuesday, is already FLYING off the shelves. It’s going to have one of the best debuts of the year! The High School Musical 2 soundtrack will easily top the U.S. album charts next week and Hits Daily Double is predicting it will sell between 550,000 to 600,000 copies! That means it will have gone Gold in it's first week in stores! If only Kelly had done that....
08/18/07 - Entertainment Weekly reports that "High School Musical," "Hiarspray" and "High School Musical 2" star Zac Efron has signed for his first leading-man role in New Line's fast-tracked love story, "Seventeen." The magazine says Efron finalized negotiations on Thursday to headline the "Big"-like comedy-drama in which a 36-year-old man, in need of a major life do-over, wakes up in the body of a studly high school senior(Efron). Efron had been in talks to make the film since February. The role reunites Zac with "Hairspray" director Adam Shankman, who is producing(but, not directing) along with his sister, Jennifer Gibgot. The film could start shooting as early as November! Can't wait!
08/17/07 - It's here! It's FINALLY here! The day we've all been waiting for! Tonight is the premiere of..."HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2"! Stay home, invite some friends over, and turn the volume up! This is going to be one night to remember!
08/10/07 - In it's sixth week on the Billboard charts, "My December" dropped six slots to No. 21 after selling 26,500 copies, down 14% from last week's 31,000, for a total of 562,000. Come on, Kelly fans! Go buy "My December" if you haven't already!
08/10/07 - Zac Efron may be showing off his assets in his revealing Rolling Stone cover shot, but he's more modest when it comes to talking about his star-making turn in "High School Musical." "I didn't even sing on the first album," he told the magazine. "It wasn't my voice in the movie. Even though I wanted to do it. So what do you do when the entire cast is supposed to accept an award at the Billboard Awards and your voice is only on the album in a select few lines. I felt extremely guilty." He also explained why he refused to go on the "High School Musical" tour: "If I had to hear the 'High School Musical' songs anymore, I probably would have jumped off something very tall," he said. Fergie's mother said: "Lindsay called Fergie just two days before [her arrest] and told her that she really loved her song 'Big Girls Don't Cry'. Lindsay wanted Fergie to write her a song." The Mean Girls actress was planning a follow up to her 2005 album, A Little More Personal, when she called her fellow pop star. However, Lohan's second arrest in two months forced any plans for a collaboration between the pair to be put on hold.

07/30/07 - Kelly Clarkson graces the cover of the August issue of Self magazine.

As Kelly Clarkson fans know, the singer wrote or co-wrote every track on her new album My December — but they probably don't know just how quickly. "I've written every song in 15 to 20 minutes. It has to come out of me like that, or it won't at all," Clarkson told Self for its August issue cover story. "It's not even that hard a thought process for me." She revealed to the magazine that she has a microphone hooked up to her computer, which she keeps by her bed so she can record music when a song pops into her head. She has drafts of 150 new songs saved.
07/30/07 - Zac Efron shot an upcoming cover of Rolling Stone on Tuesday in Los Angeles! Yeah! Zac's first cover by himself!
07/30/07 - Following the critical and commercial disappointment of her most recent album, My December, and the controversy surrounding it, Kelly Clarkson has agreed to start working on a new album right away, which will be released in 2008. The new album that Clarkson is recording will definitely be more radio friendly and promises to have the big pop hits this recent album lacks. Davis is overseeing the new project from its inception.
07/29/07 - www.ashleytisdale.com announced some television appearances. Here they are:

Here is the press release from GMA: Get ready for the concert of the summer when the cast of "High School Musical 2" performs live on "Good Morning America" this Thursday, Aug. 2.
07/29/07 - The song What Time Is It from High School Musical 2 debuted at number six on Billboards Hot 100. They’re currently reporting that last week the physical single sold 87,000 copies and had 31,00 paid downloads! You can bet I was one of the 87,000!
07/29/07 - The details for the world premiere of High School Musical 2 have been announced! It is scheduled to take place at the AMC Theaters at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA on August 14th. Arrivals are scheduled prior to the 6pm screening and will include Kenny Ortega, members of the cast and other celebrities. Also, Disney Channel premiered the music video for I Don’t Dance from High School Musical 2. In addition to airing on Disney Channel, the video will be presented in select major and minor league ballparks nationwide throughout the summer.
07/29/07 - Not only was it a terrible movie full of plot holes, vulgarity, gore, and language, it did TERRIBLE at the box office, as well! Lindsay Lohan's new movie, "I Know Who Killed Me," which had no one to promote it, since the movie's star(Lohan) was too busy getting arrested, made a measly $3,400,000 at the box office this weekend. For some odd reason, my town's movie theater had it at the biggest screen. They really overestimated how it would do. I guess they thought it would atomatically be a hit, since Lindsay Lohan was in it. But, think about this. Lindsay's last hit movie was "Mean Girls," which came out THREE YEARS AGO! Then, there were a slew of box office bombs, including "Just My Luck"($17,324,744), "A Prairie Home Companion"($20,338,609), "Bobby"($11,204,499), and "Georgia Rule"($18,882,880). All of her movies since 2005 have made approximately or less than $20 million dollars, while "Mean Girls" made $86,049,418 total. Well, at least "Hairspray" is still doing well. It had made over $40 million dollars in it's first two weeks in theaters!
1 The Simpsons Movie - $71,850,000
2 I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry - $19,063,000
3 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - $17,065,000
4 Hairspray - $15,550,000
5 No Reservations - $11,755,000
6 Transformers $11,524,000
7 Ratatouille - $7,234,000
8 Live Free or Die Hard - $5,350,000
9 I Know Who Killed Me - $3,400,000
10 Who’s Your Caddy? - $2,900,000
07/29/07 - AH! Zac Efron will be a guest on The View this Thursday, August 2! Be sure to tune in to ABC!
07/29/07 - Finally, some non-Lindsay news! Unfortunately, it's not necessarily good news. Kelly Clarkson has decided to back down:
Sources are saying that Clarkson has agreed, through her new manager Narvel Blackstock, to make a pop album for release in 2008 with songs selected by Davis and his team. Clarkson's acquiescence comes at the end of a long melodrama concerning her current, turgid album "My December," which features a lot of ragged self-penned songs by Clarkson about a relationship gone sour. Davis didn't like the album, considering it was the follow up to Clarkson's multimillion selling "Breakaway." But he released it, and Clarkson responded by dissing him and then apologizing earlier this week. In the meantime, "My December" will probably sell a respectable 850,000 copies in the U.S. and maybe the same worldwide.
07/24/07 - That's it. I've had enough!
The troubled saga of Lindsay Lohan took another dangerous turn early Tuesday when police booked her for drunken driving and cocaine possession after a frightened woman dialed 911 to report being chased by Lohan's SUV. Less than two weeks out of rehab, with another drunk driving case pending, Lohan had a blood-alcohol level of between .12 and .13 percent when police found her about 1:30 a.m., Sgt. Shane Talbot said. Authorities had received a 911 call from the mother of Lohan's former personal assistant, said Officer Alex Padilla. The assistant had just quit hours before, he said.Police said the woman drove her black Cadillac Escalade into the parking lot of Santa Monica's Civic Auditorium, about a block away from the Santa Monica Police Department, followed by Lohan driving a Denali sport utility vehicle. Authorities arrived and saw Lohan and the woman in "heated debate," Padilla said. Lohan and the woman each had two passengers in their vehicles, Padilla said. After a field sobriety test, the 21-year-old movie star was booked on two misdemeanor charges of suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transport of a narcotic. During a pre-booking search, police found cocaine in one of Lohan's pants pockets. Several hours later, Lohan was released on $25,000 bail.
- Look at this coke whore.
She doesn't deserve fans and she doesn't deserve this website dedicated to her!
Lindsay Lohan’s attorney Blair Berk issued the following statement in response to her drug and alcohol related arrest earlier this morning:
“Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease. Since Lindsay transitioned to outpatient care, she has been monitored on a SCRAM bracelet and tested daily in order to support her sobriety. Throughout this period, I have received timely and accurate reports from the testing companies. Unfortunately, late yesterday I was informed that Lindsay had relapsed. The bracelet has now been removed. She is safe, out of custody and presently receiving medical care.”
California has a DUI / DWI “washout” period of 10 years, calculated from arrest date to arrest date. This means that anyone arrested for drunk or drug driving within 10 years of the last arrest date will be charged with a second offense, with increased penalties and punishment. The punishment in court for a second or third drunk driving conviction is much harsher than for a first offense – a multiple-offense drunk driving conviction carries mandatory jail time, an 18-month alcohol education program, a required ignition interlock device (such as Smart Start), and more.
In addition to driving under the influence of alcohol and having narcotics found in her car, Lindsay was also booked on driving on a suspended license.
Sources close to Lindsay Lohan tell us that in the wake of her arrest this morning, she is cancelling all media apperances. The actress was scheduled to be on Jay Leno tonight, but that is a no-go. And, she will most likely NOT be showing up at her film premiere tomorrow night either.
07/23/07 - Crooner Zac Efron got the USA Today treatment! Here are a few highlights of his his character Link Larkin in Hairspray:
– He swivels his hips, but his pelvis is kept in PG-rated check.
– He recklessly risks detention as he stands up for Tracy and responds to a teacher’s question: “Kiss my behind!” Only he uses a much naughtier word.
– He greets everyone, even Tracy’s taken-aback mom, Edna (John Travolta in fat drag), with the “Link wink,” a flirtatious move that reeks of processed cheese.
Producer Craig Zadan observes, “The original Link from Broadway was quite different from what Zac is doing. He was more of a comic narcissist. Zac is sensitive, but not wimpy. He has that sort of masculine teen boy thing. His heart connects to Tracy’s heart, and you believe them together at the end.”
Of note: Zac maintained a 4.3 average in high school and still hopes to study film at USC.
And most importantly, he addressed (but downplayed) Zanessa: “You know, I’ve worked with Vanessa [Hudgens] a long time and she is an amazing girl. But right now, I just don’t want to be that 19-year-old kid talking about relationships. Wait 10 years and I’ll call you with a great revelation.”
07/23/07 - Singer Kelly Clarkson has addressed rumors of a reported feud with her label boss Clive Davis during the campaign over her third album, “My December.”
"There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding the release of "My December," much of which has focused on a supposed feud with my record label, in particular, Clive Davis,” Clarkson began in a post on her official website. “I want to set the record straight on this by saying that I want my band, my advisors, those close to me and my record label to be one big, tightly knit family. Like any family we will disagree and argue sometimes but, in the end, it's respect and admiration that will keep us together.”
07/23/07 - Lindsay Lohan has reportedly landed her first movie role since leaving rehab, but will need to dance for the part. The Georgia Rule star, who ended a 45-day stay at Malibu, California's Promises Clinic on July 13, has landed a part in new movie Dare to Love Me. But the movie, which documents the life of dance legend Carlos Gardel, requires the 21-year-old to dance the tango. The actress is rumored to be taking weekly one-hour lessons to perfect the routine ahead of filming, which is due to begin in Romania later this year. In other Lindsay movie news, studio bosses have denied reports Lindsay's next film role has been cancelled because producers are concerned about the star's post-rehab partying. But producer Robert Hickman insists speculation that the movie Poor Things has been cancelled is false. He says, "The film has not been cancelled. Any rumors saying differently are just that - rumors."
07/23/07 - Congratulations to Hairspray for earning the best movie musical opening on record, making $27.8 million in it's first weekend, and for opening third in the country!

07/20/07 - The reviews are in:
“Hairspray is just plain fun. Or maybe not so plain. There’s a lot of craft and slyness lurking beneath the circa-1960s goofiness” - Roger Ebert
“I Loved it!” - Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper with ‘Two Thumbs Up’ (guest critic Dave Karger)
“Travolta and Walken walk away with the movie with an easy grace that reminds you what it is that movie stars do.” - Carina Chocano, Los Angeles Times
“But the overall mood of “Hairspray” is so joyful, so full of unforced enthusiasm, that only the most ferocious cynic could resist it.” - A.O. Scott, New York Times
“A rousing alternative in a marketplace packed with noisy, special-effects-heavy sequels, “Hairspray” is the best and most entertaining movie adaptation of a stage musical so far this century,” - Lou Lumenick, New York Post
“Enjoyable movies are released every week, but movies that have the capacity to delight — movies like “Hairspray” — are few and far between. This film version of the hit Broadway musical not only feels good in the moment but can actually transform a mood, or an entire evening.” - Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronical
“The real star of this Hairspray is director-choreographer Adam Shankman.” - Peter Marks, Washington Post

07/01/07 - This is THE stupidest rumor I have ever heard! Recent new reports claim Lindsay Lohan has been tipped to play Paris Hilton in a movie of her life. It gets even more ridiculous... The "Mean Girls" actress, who is currently in Malibu's Promises rehab center, could also be joined by Britney Spears on the project. A source(key term here! Remember when 'a source' said Zanessa was split? Yeah, that's what I thought) told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "There have already been negotiations with a major film company to make the Paris Hilton biopic with Lindsay Lohan playing Paris - with Britney Spears singing the soundtrack." As usual...don't beleive it until Lindsay's rep confirms, which probably won't happen, as this project probably won't happen.

Maybe there's still a chance for you, after all!
06/21/07 - Kelly Clarkson once suffered from bulimia. What?! Our cutie with a booty used to be bulimic? The 'American Idol' winner developed the eating disorder after missing out on a role in her high school musical. She told CosmoGirl magazine, "I thought if I came back and I was cuter and thinner - then I'll get the role." Kelly, 25, struggled with bulimia for six months until friends discovered her secret and begged her to get help. 06/14/07 - In a posting on her Web site titled, "You'll Never See It My Way, Because You're Not Like Me," 25-year-old pop princess, Britney Spears, asks her "most die-hard fans" to help name her upcoming album. One potential title is a joke about Lohan: "Omg Is Like Lindsay Lohan Like Okay Like." Other possibilities: "What If the Joke Is on You," "Down Boy," "Integrity" and "Dignity." Members of Spears' fan club can cast their votes on the Web site. I'm glad Britney has a sense of humor. Also, she can't use "Dignity," because that's what Hilary Duff's latest album is called. Sorry, Brit!

(I don't know which of the following is the actual cover for the game system, but I believe it is the first one)

06/14/07 - MORE HUGE NEWS! This week, Kelly Clarkson fired her manager for unknown reasons. Now this:
Days after original “American Idol” Kelly Clarkson parted ways with her management company, the singer has pulled her summer tour. "I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to getting out there to perform for y'all. In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won't be coming out to tour this summer,” she wrote in a posting on her website KellyClarkson.com. “The fact is that touring is just too much too soon.” Michael Rapino, CEO of LiveNation said the tour was pulled over lackluster ticket sales. “Ticket sales have not been what we anticipated and we came to the realization that we had bit off more than we could chew,” Rapino said in a statement. “In the end, we are in the Kelly Clarkson business and for that reason we believe that this decision will only benefit her and her fans in the long run.” Those who bought tickets for Clarkson’s tour can get a refund at the point of purchase. She is expected to embark on another tour in the future in a more “intimate concert environment,” Gregg Perloff, CEO of Another Planet Entertainment said in a statement. “I promise you that we're going to get back out there as soon as is humanly possible to give you a show that will be even better,” Clarkson added on her website, thanking fans for their support.
I still can't believe it, but...what if it's all true. What if Kelly Clarkson has reached her breaking point? What if this is the end for Kelly Clarkson? First, RCA head, Clive Davis says he hates the album, then offers Kelly $10 million to scrap 4 tracks on the album for pop songs, then the first single, "Never Again" doesn't do well on the charts, causing the label to release a second one in a hurry("Sober"), then she fires her manager, and now this? What has happened? I just hope it all pays off and Kelly sells twice as many albums than her last album and everyone respects her as an artist for years to come. Hopefully.
06/13/07 - According to IMDB.com:
Road Trip Splits Efron & Hudgens
High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens have reportedly ended their real-life romance after a dream vacation turned into a nightmare. The young lovers were spotted hand in hand at the MTV Movie Awards on June 3 but a road trip immediately following the event really tested their love for each other. An insider tells America's In Touch Weekly magazine, "Zac borrowed a car and the two headed off on their own. It was raining and they soon got lost. Zac was yelling at Vanessa that it was her fault." The teenage couple reportedly got into an argument and split up on the trip.
(This sounds so false. Ever since everyone found out they were a couple, everyone has been trying to bring them down and start rumors that they are splitting up. This story sounds so fake, since there really isn't a source. How would someone know they went on a road trip, got lost and were arguing? Was the source the car? Don't believe everything you hear. Not yet, anyway. Until we get confirmation of the split from Zac or V's reps, consider this story FALSE.)
06/11/07 - Don't miss "Hairspray" week all this week on ABC's Entertainment Tonight.
06/07/07 - Perez Hilton(rudely) reports -
[Kelly's] record label, reluctant to release it in the first place, is rushing out new single Sober after Never Again failed to take off on radio. The good news? Sober is better than Never Again. The bad news? The song is completely mediocre. It's totally forgettable, though pretty. And there's nothing worse in the music business - especially if you want commercial success - than a song that lacks good hooks or strong melodies. Sober pales in comparison to such genius Clarkson ballads as Breakaway or Because Of You.
I don't know if it's true that "Sober" is ALREADY being released as a single, but you can pretty much listen to it EVERYWHERE, including AOL, kellyclarksonweb.com, about.com, and perezhilton.com, not to mention this site.

LINDSAY LOHAN UPDATE:
06/04/07 - Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday, May 26, after her convertible struck a curb, and investigators found what they believe is cocaine at the scene. Lohan and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. It appeared the actress was speeding. Officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine. He declined to say where the drug was found other than to say Lohan was not carrying it. The case will be presented to the District Attorney's Office where the actress could face more charges, including felonies. Her tentative arraignment date is Aug. 24. The 20-year-old actress booked herself into the Promises center in Malibu on May 28. "Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day," Lohan's publicist confirmed. But whether the "Mean Girls" star really means to sober up is anyone's guess. Her dad, Michael, says it will take more than Promises to get his AA-flaunting daughter back on track. Lindsay skipped the 2007 MTV Movie Awards while she attends rehab. A DUI arrest and a trip to rehab won't necessarily prevent Lindsay Lohan from taking a co-starring role in the grannies-on-the-run comedy "Poor Things." In a statement issued to Variety, "Poor Things" producers Shirley MacLaine and Rob Hickman declare that the film's shooting schedule has been altered to allow for Lohan to shoot her scenes after she finishes her time at Malibu's ritzy Promises Residential Treatment Center. "In the spirit of helping Lindsay Lohan and her rehabilitation, we have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on 'Poor Things'," MacLaine and Hickman said their Thursday (May 31) statement. "We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit."

Lohan’s publicist told Radar the paparazzi is so out of control that it’s only a matter of time before someone dies. Hopefully, no one dies before Lindsay dies of a drug overdose!

04/17/07 - Oh No! My dreams of marraige to Lindsay Lohan may have just been shattered. There are now rumors claiming Lindsay Lohan is ...LESBIAN!
The 'Mean Girls' star - who is currently in Japan for a fashion shoot - is said to be more than just friends with DJ Samantha Ronson, who has accompanied her on her trip. Former publicist Jonathan Jaxson wrote in his blog at www.jonathanjaxson.blogspot.com, "Lindsay actually has always been quite open. Maybe she was tired of the boys and that is why she decided to spice it up with BFF (best friend forever) Samantha Ronson. "Now I would have no bad things to say about either if Samantha wasn't deeply involved in alcohol and drugs. Not the best influence for a rehabbed Lindsay Lohan." Jaxson claims Lindsay and Samantha's fledgling same-sex romance has been confirmed by his sources. Lindsay, 20, arrives in London next month to begin shooting 'The Best Time of Our Lives' - a biopic about the love life of poet Dylan Thomas - alongside Keira Knightley, in which she plays...a lesbian.

04/17/07 - Stevie Nicks has denied rumours that Lindsay Lohan has signed to play her in an upcoming film. Lohan is said to be desperate to portray Nicks in a movie focusing on the Fleetwood Mac singer's rock star lifestyle in the seventies and eighties. However, Nicks insisted that she has never even heard of the movie and believes it would be impossible to make. Nicks told Blender: "Lindsay Lohan thinks she is going to play me? But what the hell movie does she think she's talking about? There is no book, there is no screenplay, there is no movie without me, because it's never going to be the story of me. "Even though a lot has been written about me, the fact is nobody actually has a clue to what my life was really like. So, good luck Lindsay!" OUCH!

04/15/07 - Lindsay Lohan confirmed she will be starring in a new movie called "Hippy," about four friends on a trip, when one of them starts killing people, under the influence of an acid. "It's about a group of kids taking a cross-country trip when one of them drops acid, goes crazy and starts, like, killing people," she said.
04/15/07 - The day has finally come and Kelly's first single "Never Again" from My December has arrived!!!
04/15/07 - Correction. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you had to see it coming. It was WAY too good to be true. Zac Efron will NOT be starring in "Speed Racer." As I warned you, imdb.com is like wikipedia.org and can be tampered with or edited by ANYONE. Zac is no longer listed on the "Speed Racer" profile and "Speed Racer" is no longer on his filmography. Although, it has been confirmed that Zac will be starring in an upcoming New Line Cinema project that is yet to be titled.
04/10/07 - This seems WAY too good to be true, and it is hard to believe a movie would really start filming only months after being announced. Plus, imdb.com is reporting and their site can be edited by anyone, like wikipedia. But, if it is true, this is so AWESOME! :) According to imdb.com, Zac Efron will be starring in the film version of "Speed Racer," to be released May 9, 2008. Shooting begins June 5 in Berlin, according to the site.
04/10/07 - Kelly announced on her website that she will be releasing the first single off her new album tomorrow!
The first single is called "Never Again" Not only will the original "American Idol" return to the show and the very stage that introduced her to millions, there is already speculation that Kelly will perform the album's first single, "Never Again," on "American Idol's" charity helping episodes April 24 (Kelly's 25th birthday) and 25. Fans can hear Clarkson's new song on radio however, beginning April 11. This summer, Clarkson says she will drop "My December," the follow up to her multi-platinum sophomore effort, 2004's "Breakaway." "My album will be dropping this summer (finally)," she posts on her Web site. "And, I'm touring again this summer as well and I can't wait to see y'all. Sometimes you have to just embrace the nerd inside you and go with it." "I can't wait for y'all to hear it. I'm so excited! Y'all have no idea how excited, seriously," Clarkson wrote of her new material. "I know y'all have been waiting but just imagine having the music for months and not being able to show anyone . . . it's torture. The album is very much a story of my life and as you know my life is usually very intense with lots of roller-coaster ride," she wrote. "This is my favorite album thus far. It's got some killer rock stuff, some fun soulful tracks, some beautiful and intimate slower songs, and it's all me so here's to hoping you like it."
Can't wait until tomorrow? Well, starting TODAY(April 10), you can go to Wal-Mart, buy a 12-pack of Kelly's vitamin water(focus), and you will get a free download of a remix of Kel's first single, "Never Again." If I can, I'll try to put the song on this site's Kelly page!
04/10/07 - Lindsay Lohan's movie, "Bobby" was released today on DVD!
04/10/07 - On Saturday, MTV premiered the entire eigth and final season of Punk'd and guess who got Punk'd? ZAC EFRON! Yup, along with Ashley Tisdale, Zac was tricked into thinking a guy stole money from a shop he was in, while the management was gone. When the management returned, they accused Zac of letting him get away, which even drove Zac to cuss! But, in the end, Zac was cool and admitted defeat, saying, "I'm Zac Efron, and I got Punk'd." Oh yeah, the show made one teeny error. They spelled his name, Zach, with an extra "h." Poor Zac! If you missed it, the show will air two weeks from tonight!
04/10/07 - Although, Zac didn't do the HSM Concert Tour, since he was filming "Hairspray," I was very excited to hear that there will be a "High School Musical Concert Tour" DVD and CD, which will be in stores May 1, along with Corbin Bleu's debut album! Can't wait!

04/10/07 - Zac will have his own doll! This summer, a doll modeled from Zac as his character in "Hairspray," Link Larkin, will hit stores. On being made into a doll, Zac says, "Having a doll of yourself is completely surreal." But he praises this diverse collection as a reflection of a movie that is loaded with "amazing, uplifting messages." The dolls hit stores in July and range in height from 10 1/2 to 12 inches. Suggested retail: $15. Singing versions of Tracy and Link (in different costumes and hairstyles) will sell for $20-$25.
04/10/07 - Lindsay Lohan has signed on to be the face of the New York couturier's fall advertising campaign, which is being shot this week in Japan by longtime Stuart shutterbug Mario Sorrenti. The 20-year-old "Georgia Rule" star, who also put her best face forward for Miu Miu's spring-summer 2007 collection, will appear in ads for both Stuart's high-end namesake line and the new Jill by Jill Stuart, which is skewed toward younger, less flush fashionistas, à la the ready-to-wear Marc by Marc Jacobs. Lohan is scheduled to spend about 10 days in Japan and then head over to London to shoot the period drama "The Best Time of Our Lives", in which she plays Caitlin MacNamara, wife of the alcoholic Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
04/04/07 - The officail poster for "Hairspray" is FINALLY here!

04/04/07 - All right. Here's the thing. I like Hilary Duff's new sound a lot, so I bought her CD yesterday, despite the fact that Hilary and Lindsay have been known to hate each other. But, the weirdest thing happened. I just found out that the two were seen two nights ago...get this...HANGING OUT! What?! I know! Isn't it weird that I start liking Hilary when Lindsay and her are finally not fighting! But, don't believe everything you read. There is a news article at this website: http://popsugar.com/197583, claiming they hung out at Hil's CD release party. But, as you probably noticed, none of the pics have the two TOGETHER. So...is this a fake story? I don't know. But, for all time's sake, I really hope it's not. Then again, even if it is true, they could be fighting again tomorrow, just like Lindsay and Paris Hilton do ALL THE TIME!
03/22/07 - Lindsay Lohan's mom talks a mouthfull about Lindsay, Paris, and... Britney? Why? She acts like she is Lindsay. What does she know about it? Everyone is saying she is trying to rise to fame by using her daughter. She is just as bad as Lindsay's dad. Well, at least she tries to clear Lindsay's name of a "party girl" and "alcoholic." But what's the point? Everyone knows Lindsay's an alcoholic, even Lindsay isn't denying. HELLO? That's why she's in rehab! Anyway, you can find out what Dina Lohan opens up about in the new issue of Harper's BAZAAR, in stores this Friday.

03/21/07 - Lindsay Lohan's ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama tried to win her back by serenading her in a nightclub. arrived at Unik's weekly karaoke party on Sunday night and dedicated a song to Lindsay. A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "He tried to talk to her, but she didn't have much time for him. Then he grabbed a microphone and said, 'Lindsay, this is for you.' " Wilmer sang Matchbox 20's hit 'Back 2 Good', belting out: "Just stand there, I could say so much. But I don't go there because I don't want to. I was thinking if you were lonely maybe we could leave here and no one would know. I'm lonely now and I don't know how to get it back to good." Lindsay reportedly shouted after the performance: "It's too late!"
The source added: "Wilmer tried to take it like a man. But he left a few minutes later."
BURN!

The movie ''is kind of a reverse Big,'' explains Shankman. Efron will play the younger version of ''an adult [who] wants to shirk his responsibilities and go back to high school.'' (Fitting, since Efron is already back — for High School Musical 2.) There's no word yet on the rest of the cast, but Shankman hints ''there will be a big, big lead as the [main character's] wife.''

10/12/06 - I just found out this weekend on www.wikipedia.org that Lindsay Lohan's latest movie, "Bobby," will be rated PG-13! As, I am not yet 17 and cannot see rated R movies by myself, I was excited to hear this. To find more on this movie, go to www.imdb.com and type in Bobby(2006) in the search engine. 03/22/07 - Turns out someone must have been misinformed. As you probably know by now, the movie's rating was changed to R, even though it appealed for a PG-13. Anyway, I still ended up seeing it. It was a really good movie. Lindsay did a wonderful job. It is set for an April 10 DVD release.
