there are thousands of different livebearers and i keep just a few of them.
XIPHOPHORUS EVELYNAE

MALE FROM RIO NECAXA, MEXICO
Range is the Rio Tecolutla system, Puebla, Mexico
Grows to 45mm for the male and 55mm female.
there are a few colour variations, depending on the collection area.
temp range is 68-77ºf.
smallish broods averaging 50 but up to 75 have been recorded.
can be kept in a community tank with similar sized fish. do not keep with other xiphophorus species as it will hybridise
XIPHOPHORUS HELLERI
There are many different varieties of helleri swordtail. This depends largely where they come from.

XIPOPHORUS MYERI

Being relatively recently discovered, in 1988,
This species is apparently only found in a small area of Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico.
Reportedly grows to 30mm for the male and 60mm female.

will take most foods inc some vegetable.
can be kept in a community tank with similar sized fish. do not keep with other xiphophorus species as it will hybridise
XIPHOPHORUS SIGNUM
Hails from Guatemala. grows to around 75mm for males and 100mm for females.
Care is as for most swords, water not critical, varied diet inc vegetable foods.
Produce smaller broods than Helleri.
can be kept in a community tank with similar sized fish. do not keep with other xiphophorus species as it will hybridise
