Art Ball

Well, it was another good weekend.  On Friday night, we started the feature in 8th place with most of the best trucks ahead of us.  Art raced his tail off, and managed to finish second by a nose.  He was very close to winning his 4th race there, and surely made things exciting for the fans.  It was a good points night too, as we resumed the points lead at Attica.

Saturday night was pretty descent as well.  Art started 11th in the feature and finished 3rd.  Several early cautions and restarts hindered his effort to get to the front, but in the end it was another great drive to the front.  Saturday was also a good points night.  We moved from 6th to 4th and are now just 7 points out of second place.  And unless Cory decides to take a night off, that is probably as far as we can get!

All in all, this has to be one of the best years we've had since I started working for Art back in 1986.  We couldn't be happier with the way things are going.  Since we don't want to screw things up, we have all come to the mutual decision that we will not attempt to run the new truck this year.  We've decided that we will continue to work on setups and testing it at Attica, but unless we have a major disaster with the old truck, we're going to save the new one for next year.
