 SPYWARE
Spyware
This time it's Spyware.

Have you heard of words like spyware, adware, or malware?

This time again I put this very simple. It's something that lives in your computer and send your information (w/o your permission) to somebody and watch what you do on the Internet and so on.

Well, you might be very confused if you have never heard of this kind of things, so here are more details:

First, when you download something from the Internet, spyware comes with it. You might know or you might not know because sometimes it is stated in such as privacy policy and you click 'agree' without reading it. Also, there are kinds that comes when you are just surfing on the Internet.

They break into your computer, or more like your houe, then watch you closely all the time, and report to its boss, Mr.X what you eat, what time you take a shower, what kind of TV programs you watch, etc. The worse ones write down your credit card numbers, bank account and put in an envelop, and send it to Mr.X. Not too bad ones put advertisements in everywhere in your house relentlessly, and it pops up everytime you take them off.

Spyware, adware, malware... these kind of things are defined differently from virus like Trojan horse or Blaster, so anti virus sofware oftentimes cannot detect them. What you can do is to use anti spyware tool to remove, or manually get rid of them. Here is one thing, however, you should consider before doing this is that there are many anti spyware tools out there, and many of them are believed to put their own spyware. If you use spyware tool A, then remove the ones that cna find. After that, you use spyware tool B... then you find a new spyware! It is in a way inevitable that those who made the tools are naturally competitor to each other, so I don't specify which tools are better. Please find it by yourself. One thing to think about is use the one that trusty organization recommends.

Note:
If you have never tried to remove spyware, I bet there are at least 2 or 3 of them living in your house.
There are ones that are not hurmful.
