The studio
I work out of a small home-based studio in
It is fully sound proofed so making a rhythmical noise is not a problem.
Within the studio I run a Roland V-Drum TD12 that has a great feel much like an acoustic kit.
This is all linked to the computer running Cubase.
The drums can also run simultaneously to music tracks of c.d, mp3 or record.
Also within the studio I have a Latin Set –up which includes congas, bongos,
Various jingle bells and also a Roland Hand Sonic.
The studio wouldn’t be complete without an acoustic kit for this I use a Gretsch Mini-kit
Which is Ideal for younger students?
But also great for the students who are a little older
.
I have a full complement of microphones, leads, Bosphorus, Zildjian, Istanbul and Sabian cymbals, effects units etc

Some weekends I will do early bird sessions
But please ask about these.
My Lessons are either ½ hour sessions (ideal for younger students) or the 1hr Session.
The studio is also available for laying down that great drum track,

Studio Time (with Chris) £20 Per Hour – Day Rate £150 (8hrs)
Studio Time (without Chris) £12 Per Hour - Day Rate £80 (8hrs)
Rehearsal Time (only one person) 1 Hour £8 – book a day for £50 (8hrs)
Samba Corporate – includes two tutors and all equipment - £call - 9.30am – 4pm

Samba for schools - £50 per hour this includes 2 tutors and equipment. Minimum 2 hours booking.
School one 2 one tuition - £20 per 40 minutes, minimum booking 3 sessions.
School Rhythm Workshop £50 per hour min. 2 hours this will include two tutors.
Orchestral Percussion Sections, £25 per hour or £50 for two hours.
For schools work we need a minimum of 2hrs continuous work so you can combine any of the lessons to make it up, this is due to travelling. But feel free to discuss.
All our teachers are CRB checked.

lRhythm Workshop – G.C.S.E Music. This is Ideally suited to year 10 and 11 students and will give them some great insight into various styles of music –via rhythm. We will look at Reggae, Latin, Rock, Pop and Jazz. This course is geared up to help the student write or play better rhythmic style. Also a good insight into world music.
lOne to one sessions – These lessons are for 40 minutes every week or once every two weeks. The student can study either Drums, Latin Percussion or Tuned Percussion, obviously dependant on the school's equipment. Our Teachers are working musicians who are working for big names in the music industry. * Please note another member of our teaching staff may cover some lessons if their normal teacher is gigging. This is not a bad thing as some teachers’ strengths are different. We will look to cover technique, rhythmic awareness, and musicianship. The styles the pupil will learn will depend on the speed in which they learn them but we hope to cover Jazz, Funk, Blues, Rock, Pop, and various Latin Styles. This will give the student a better understanding of all grooves.
lOrchestral Percussion Sections – We can also take sessions for your school orchestra percussion section. If you are preparing for a school concert or exam then let us come in and help. Most of our teachers have worked in either top section Brass Bands, Wind Bands, Orchestras, concert bands and for BBC recordings.
Bored with the same old team building exercises running about a forest in the freezing cold, well how about this!!
We can cater for groups of 30 people; at the end of the 1-day course we will have you playing a samba.
The day will begin at
You will be taught to play each percussion line within the group.
Keep on Drumming – Corporate Events –
After lunch you will then swap over and learn the other group’s instruments.
At the end of the day our tutors will then give each of you our recommended instrument and we will come together to perform as a full samba school.
This is a great fun day,
No pressure just a great day to get to know your colleagues,
Dress code is casual.

If however you have two meeting rooms big enough to hold 30 people in,
Without disturbing too many people, we would be happy to come in, this will also cut down on costs.
