About the Club:

In 2007/8 Keele Archery Club maintained its position in the top three of NEUAL coming 2nd overall. We came 3rd in the Outdoor NEUAL Champs, having had only an average three days (or less) of practice due to it being organised straight after the 3rd year exams. Many archers achieved personal medals including 1st place to Samara Hyde for Novice Longbow at both the NEUAL Novice Champs and BUSA Champs and 3rd to Chris Seymour for Novice Gents Recurve at NEUAL Indoor Champs.

In 2006/7 Keele Archery Club won Runner Up Club of the Year, Andrew O'Connor won Sportsman of the Year contributing alot to the archery club (well deserved) and had a very succesful year - won NEUAL League (2nd year contending) and also the NEUAL Indoor Champs came 3rd (with only a team of 3/4 competitors) in outdoor NEUAL, not to mention  4th and 10th in BUTC (out of 34 or so teams) and also top 10 positions in BUSA competitions.

As of 2005/6 we joined NEUAL (North of England University Archery League) and are continuously improving, so much so that at the Indoor Championships, as a team, we finished Third, with many other archers achieving individual medals. Even though it was our first year. (For full details use the link on the Fixtures page). At BUSA we finished 9th, beating the likes of York, and are setting our sights higher for next year.

In 2004/5 we won most improved club of the year, and since then we haven't looked back.

We had over 50 members, a number of whom were novices and did extremely well throughout the year.

We always welcome beginners, don't be afraid to come along and have-a-go, all you need is your AU card and we will provide equipment, initial training and any subsequent coaching. Just turn up at one of our training sessions and we will be happy to help.
