My name is Wade, and I live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I started in the radio hobby back in 1979 with a 3 channel handheld TRC 76 that I got from Radioshack. Then in 1980, I got a 40 channel Roadtalker with a 5/8 wave Crossbow antenna. Years later in 1998, I got a Cobra 148F GTL DX+ and got involved with ssb. Then in 2006, I got my technician plus license and a couple of months after that, I got my general license.
In regards to the equipment that I use now, I have a Yaesu FT-897D (shown on right) in the house, and I use an IMax2000 antenna and a G5RV for it. In my truck, I use an Icom V8000 (shown on left) with a Hustlter antenna.
