Welcome and thanks for stopping by. I took my Element 2 test on Tuesday, December 10, 2002. The FCC issued my call sign on Monday, December 16, 2002 and I received the hard copy of my Amateur Radio License on Tuesday, December 24, 2002. I bought my first transceiver on December 27, 2005. Initially with my Technician License, I could only operate on the following bands: 6 Meters, 2 Meters, 1.25 Meters, 70 Centimeters, 33 Centimeters, 23 Centimeters.
During an Emergency Incident, Ham radio operators help by providing communication when all other types of communication are down, including Land Telephones, Cell Phones, and The Internet.
Part of being able to communicate correctly is learning the Phonetic Alphabet. I thought the chart below might be of some help.
| A - Alpha | H - Hotel | O - Oscar | V - Victor |
| B - Bravo | I - India | P - Papa | W - Whiskey |
| C - Charlie | J - Juliette | Q - Quebec | X - X-Ray |
| D - Delta | K - Kilo | R - Romeo | Y - Yankee |
| E - Echo | L - Lima | S - Sierra | Z - Zulu |
| F - Foxtrot | M - Mike | T - Tango | |
| G - Golf | N - November | U - Uniform |
I am a member of the Coyote Amateur Radio Club.
