Head Coach: Fatai Ayoade

In addition to coaching the U13 and U14 girls and U18 boys, Coach Ayoade is the Johnson County Community College men's soccer coach.

Selected information from the JCCC website follows:

He favors a philosophy of hard work, both on and off the playing field.  Ayoade places an emphasis on the student aspect of a student-athlete.  Ayoade feels his philosophy and coaching style not only ensure his athletes success on the field, but in their lives following their JCCC experience.

"We ask our athletes to do three things:  go to class, be on time and play and practice as hard as they can.  If they can do that, they will be successful."

Coaching Awards:

NJCCC/Region VI Coach of the Year, an honor he has earned three times

NSCCA Central Region Coach of the Year

Team Success:

In 2001, JCCC won both the region and district titles, and took 3rd at the national tournament.

Last season, Ayoade again led his squad to the NJCAA National Tournament.  However, at one point the season looked bleak as the Cavaliers stood 3-10-1 in early October.  JCCC won 11 straight games and along the way captured East Jayhawk Conference, Region VI and Plains District titles.

Aside from his accomplishments with JCCC, Ayoade's career includes the development of youth players, through his position as head coach for the Attack club team soccer in Kansas City.  Ayoade guided his U-16 squad to a national tournament win in Las Vegas. Four of these team members later were sophomore members of the JCCC squad that went to the National tournament with JCCC.

Playing History:
Before joining Johnson County, Ayoade was the leading scorer at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Mo.  After completing his studies at State Fair, Ayoade transferred to Park College, where he was named to the all-area and all-district first-teams.  Following his collegiate career, Ayoade was selected to appear in the annual addition of the American College Athletics Hall of Fame.

Personal Information:

He earned his bachelor's degree in computer-based information systems and recently earned his Masters of Science Degree in Exercise and Sports Physiology (May 2006).

Ayoade is a native of Lagos, Nigeria.  He and his wife Claudia have two sons, Gavin and Cameron.
