Kevin Briggs is passionate about guitar teaching. He is a patient/motivating/inspiring and experienced teacher who will help you to achieve any goals that you have. From the beginner guitarist to the more experienced guitarist wanting to expand their skills. Kevin knows that each student is unique and learns in different ways. With his flexible teaching style he is able to meet the students’ individual learning needs. Lessons are prepared based on the student’s goals and discussions held with Kevin. Regular evaluations take place to ensure the students’ needs are being met.

Rhythm guitar playing, lead guitar playing, strumming techniques, picking techniques, finger picking, left hand finger exercises, tapping techniques, bending techniques, hammer ons, pull offs, legato playing, muting techniques, music theory, rhythm studies, scales, chords, soloing concepts and techniques, ear training, learning songs, songwriting techniques and much more.
Exams
For those students wishing to take exams, Kevin is a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors and can prepare you for either the Electric Guitar Exams or the Popular Music Theory Exams.

Kevin specialises in the guitar styles of rock, blues, funk, soul, r&b, pop and beginner to intermediate jazz. His experience as a performer and teacher have taken him across the globe. He has taught in Canada, the U.A.E. and England. As a performer his skills have been used by many different artists in many different countries. Kevin has performed extensively throughout Canada, the U.S.A. and England as well as Ireland, Scotland, the U.A.E, Oman, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Argentina, Portugal, Ethiopia and Japan. If you are interested in becoming a performer or teacher, Kevin is able to offer advice on all aspects of having a performance/teaching career. Many of Kevin’s students have gone on to be performers and teachers themselves!
