Kassy at work, diligently working at applying Vigi's makeup. The girls did an outstanding job in their area of competition bringing home a 3rd place finish. The Digital Media Show was a great learning experience for the both of them.

Lights, Camera, Action!! - Diego Orduna "Technician - for Kassy and Vigi"

You can't have a great News Anchor team without a Great Technician. Diego did an excellent job at helping his team attain a 3rd place finish in San Benito. The Digital Media Show (DMS) was help on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10, 2005.

Our 3rd Place Team - Kassandra "Kassy" Sanchez (Left) and Virginia "Vigi" Sandoval (Right).

Kassy and Vigi setting up for their news Anchor competition. They were set, ready, and focused on their mission. Congratulations to them and their outstanding Tech, Diego.

Who's asking this question?? - Kassy and Vigi practicing.

The Girls went through their scripts many times and rehearsed them over and over prior to their presentation. They knew what they wanted and they totally went for it!!

Our additional News Anchor Team - Ashley Smith (Left) and Georgina Vargas (Right).

Ashley and Gina form our other formidable team. The girls came in a little short; however, the experience gained will allow them to gain much needed momentum. We are very proud of them as well as their technician, Mylan Torres.

Mylan Torres - Mylan typing in changes to news scripts for her teams news anchors (Ashley and Gina). Paul form San Benito looks on while Mylan finishes and then continues to instruct her on the use of the teleprompter.

Mylan and Gina have been logging in the time during practices. Great job Mylan!!

Practice, Practice, Practice! - Gina and Ashley go through their scripts while Mylan keeps time.

Channel 5?? That's right the girls decide to strike a pose with the two KRGV channel 5 representatives. Left to right: Marc Dopher, Gina Vargas, Ashley Smith, Mylan Torres, and Mireya Villarreal.

It's our turn! - Virgina Sandoval and Kassandra Sanchez also take time to snap a picture with Marc Dopher from KRGV channel 5.

Next!! - Mylan and Gina patiently waiting for the next presenter at the 3rd Digital Media Show. Which was held on December 9 and 10.

Break Time!! - Vigi and Kassy take a little time to pose for a picture during the workshops that were held at the DMS on Saturday, December 10.

Let's Do It Again! - Benjamin "Ben" A. Melendez and Yolanda Cano prepare for their return for the SkillsUSA District 13 News Anchor Competition.

Shall we practice? - Luis Gutierrez (returning News Anchor) and Mylan Torres pose on the K-Blue set.  Both are looking forward to this years events at the SkillsUSA District 13 Competition.

"She's a Freshman" - Georgina "Gina" Vargas maybe a freshman; however, she has a passion, commitment, enthusiasm, energy, and the heart needed to be a top News Anchor.  Gina has a very bright future ahead of her, success will eventually come her way, No Doubt!!

We, the Media Technology Club, would like to thank you for spending this wonderful time with us.  We truly hope that you enjoyed the pictures that we have provided and that you return quite often.
