Peter Kraushaar has just renewed for another year of public address announcing for Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Washington. Again this year he will be the voice of the Evergreen Lady Plainsmen basketball team and will fill in at some of the Mens games as well. We have also developed a web site called "Left Coast News .Net" Don't let the name fool you. It is a great source to get news and information from both ends of the political spectrum, putting together news, commentary and links from sources around the world. KBFD-FM Pacific Radio had a birthday in May. The station began broadcasting in May of 2005 on 104.9 FM in Sunset Beach. The station promotes itself as "Pacific Radio, the North Coast's REAL Alternative Music & News Source"and plays a mix of Rock, Jazz, Reggae, Blues and Country Rock along with Americana, New Wave and more. The stations companion news site is www.leftcoastnews.net The station is owned by Kraushaar Media and originally started off as an Internet station in 2003. KBFD station manager Pete Kraushaar says "The response to the station has been great! We're alot like the old FM stations of the 60's and 70's, we play a little bit of everything!" The station is what is known as a Part 15 station, which is a micro powered station authorized to broadcast by the FCC under Part 15 rules and regulations. Pete says "It's the same tiny transmitter a drive-in movie theater or high school uses to hit a few acres, so KBFD 104.9 is mainly heard around the bakery and RV Park, the rest of the world listens tp Pacific Radio on the internet".
