Hi and welcome to my site! I am Kim Boyce Thomas and I have been making bears, bunnies and various other critters now since about 1995. I have been collecting all type of bears since I was a kid. In my 20's, I started strictly collecting only mohair animals. I find there is simply no substitution for the wonderful feel and look of mohair. I soon discovered, however, that mohair is extremely expensive and I would have to limit my collection to one or two bears a year. That is when I decided to start making my own. All of my animals are made with mohair. Occasionally, I will use a German synthetic if I am after a certain "look." I use strictly glass eyes and either polyester or wood wool stuffing. I use plastic or glass pellets for a softer feel in the tummies as well. I tend to use mostly 100% wool for the paw pads, but have some ultra-suede on hand too. Lately, I have been into needle felting so you may see some felted eyes, paws, noses and various other details. I try to describe my animals the best that I can, but feel free to email me if you have any questions.

This is my own little Care Bear all dressed for Halloween!
Wysteria is made of soft lavender mohair and has hand painted aqua eyes to match her hand made Aqua and lavender sweater. She has been sold.
Boo Bear and Scare Bear were made for Halloween 2006. I hand dyed the orange fur to get just the right color. Both bears have been sold.
