The boat is constructed using traditional stitch and glue method. The hull constructed of BS 1088 Okoume marine plywood. The hull and all seems are fully glassed. The deck is laid over sixteen laminated joists. The deck is strip fur held down with brass screws and epoxied over. There is a forward and rear bulkhead that is fully sealed. Hatch's are sealed. It weights approximately 43 pounds. It can be handled by one person, but it is recommended that two people handle it on and off a roof rack. It takes approximately two months to complete. The hull is painted with marine hull paint. All deck hardware is brass. It has no seat but is constructed with a beam to attach a seat of choice. The deck is varnished to a glossy sheen, and each boat is signed and dated. This business started out as a hobby and is developing into a full time business. This is not a kit boat, but based on a modified Chesapeake 16. Due to the extensive brazing on the deck, this boat is extremely sturdy, though lightweight. It has a hard chine hull and is proven to be a very fast design with solid tracking. These boats are hand made, with little or no power tools. All cuts are made with a hand saw. Custom made redwood oar included. Due to the fact that the boat is not equipped to handle a spray skirt, this craft is more intended for inland calmer waters or bays. There are two boats currently for sale, and I am accepting orders for more boats.
