A little about Rosa...

Rosa Blasi was born on Dec. 19, 1972 in Mt. Prospect (Chicago), Ill. Rosa has done a lot of theater in the past as well as doing comedy at the Piven Performance Company as well as Second City. She is also and amazing singer and has performed as a back-up singer with fellow actor Sean Hayes for Kenny Rogers, his Christmas tour in 1995. Rosa got a break when she got a gig on "The Bold And The Beautiful" and then a role on a new show called, "Hitz." Unfortunately, it was canceled but Rosa's talents were then seen on many other big shows. She has appeared on "The Drew Carey Show," "Fraiser," "Becker," and "Beverly Hills, 90210." Her critically acclaimed performance came when she shot a movie for Showtime called,"Noriega: God's Favorite," with Bob Hoskins. But her claim to fame has been the hit show on Lifetime, "Strong Medicine," where she plays or played Dr. Lusia "Lu" Delgado. The character was like made for her, she is perfect and brings Lu to life! If you watch that show you'll see what an amazing talented actress she is, having done some powerful, heart hitting scenes! While on a break from filming she managed to appear in the huge hit movie, "The Grudge," starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Bill Pullman and Jason Behr.

She married NFL's NY Giants Fullback and hottie Jim Finn on Feb. 14, 2004! They are soooo cute together!

I can't wait to see her become a full fledge movie star and hopefully do some comedy so the world can see her talents and her laugh-until-your-stomach-hurts comedic talent! The future for Rosa is as bright as ever, and I for one am excited about it! Watch out for her!

Strong Medicine season 1 is now on DVD...check it ooouuut!! With only a few episodes left of the show completely it's worth buying it!

Rosa also does a really cool thing and posts messages to fans on lifetimtev.com although, not sure if she'll still be doing that...because she just made a fansite an official fansite. Go to rosafans.com, it's up-to-date with a huge gallery and awesome people! You can also go to rosablasi.com her official site for video clips and pictures as well!

Hello! I can't tell you how happy I am, that the Rape Kit episode was received so well by you all. Besides Wednesday Night Fever (the episode where my character covers 24 hours) it was the highest rated episode ever. It is the single episode I am MOST proud of. Between the research, and material I was given I became physically and emotionally ill during filming. The next two episodes the producers, cast and crew are proud of as well. I look forward to you seeing them. We start filming new episodes in early May for a July(?) airing of season 3!!!
I'd like to take this opportunity to address one more thing. As far as my website, or any personal publicity goes, I think being a sexy (with or without cleavage), confident, independent, versatile woman is a GOOD thing. I pride myself on being a bit of a Rennisance woman defined by many roles, many "images", not one.

I will be checking in again soon, and as always I am GRATEFUL for the outpour of support and kindness you all continually show the show and myself.
Love,
rosa

Greetings from the depths of season THREE!
Hi everyone! Tomorrow we already start shooting episode 4 of the third season (begining to air July 21st...info I found out from you guys!). I'll be honest, 44 episodes into a show, I was a little nervous about the quality of storylines, and plots, etc. I am so proud to tell you that the writers never cease to AMAZE me! I can't believe how creative, exciting, and original the scripts continue to be!!! It's not too long before you see for yourself! Jaws will drop.
I am as always, grateful to read the response from you all, on these boards, and the fan mail I receive. I read every word, (although I won't be winning any awards for my response time). Some people write about really personal problems, or traumas and they ask specific question as to who they should tell, or what to do? They want my opinion. I can't think of a greater resource of information and support right at our fingertips, than here at Lifetimetv.com. I am also a HUGE believer in therapy. I almost think therapy (group or individual) should be required by law, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, as always I promise to check in, and I hope you all have a wonderful, empowering, growing, learning, and safe summer!

Greetings and update from Rosa!
Hello everyone!!! I realize my screen name is slightly different, please bear with me...it seems I have tricked myself into forgetting my own password! I tried every combination I could think of and failed miserably.

Anyway, I am writing you from Japan. I am here in Tokyo, shooting a movie called "The Grudge". I literally left Maui the Wednesday after my wedding, and Jim and I came straight here. He left after about a week to tend to our dogs and I am here until March 5th. I am really excited to be doing this project. It is a horror/drama film that was successful here in Japan. They decided to re-make it, and release it in American using the same director and location but an American cast. Bill Pullman plays my husband, and the film also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jason Behr, and Clea Duvall. The cast couldn't be nicer if they tried. I am so lucky to be working with such a great group and soooooo cool to hang with. The film will be released around Halloween time (I think).

Speaking of coming straight from the wedding, thank you for all your kind messages on this board. It was such a great time in Maui!!! I am still high off the memories (despite the fact that I went to see the Doctors on my wedding morning to make sure I didn't have Streph throat...nice huh?) Patricia Richardson, Josh Cox, Jenifer Lewis all made the trip to Hawaii! As well as Tammy Ader (exec. producer),John Flynn (director/producer) Joe DeOliveria (producer), Jim Weiss, costumers, hairdressers, and makeup artists! It was a strong, "strong medicine" turnout. It was really funny to look around and see the creative side (my friends)meets the sports world (Jims friends).

We go back to work mid April with many MANY suprises ahead. Such suprises in fact, that I really don't know what they are! You would be amazed how little I know. Is that a redundant statement or what?!? Well, I hope you feel updated and I look forward to having more new for you another time. Konichiwa!!!!

Rosa

100 episodes!!!!!!!!!!
We cut the cake today on set and had a celebration for reaching our 100 episodes this afternoon. There were toasts, champagne, Lifetime executives, Sony execs, Whoopi called in on speaker phone, and our gift from Lifetime President Carole Black was her announcement :

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A SEASON 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was so cool, and I feel tremendously proud of the show. Not to mention the 100th episode is going to be GREAT. Guest stars Cameryn Manheim, Sara Gilbert, and Fran Drescher make for a really special show.

Thanks to you all again for your support and communtiy, and for letting me know, usually, when I am going to be on TV or there is an article about me somewhere. I swear this is like the information booth these boards!
Take care and "talk to you soon"
Love,

Hello from Rosa!
So if we can't gossip about other members....
can we gossip about Paris Hilton??? Just curious. Just kidding. Kinda.

Hello! How are you all? I can't believe we have been a month of shooting the 6th season already! We are on episode 4, and Rick Schroder is seriously one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Painfully, painfully, kind. Everybody on set loves him (and he has four GORGEOUS kids, not to mention an even sweeter beautiful wife by the way)
So it's been good so far.
I embarrassingly confessed to Rick I used to be enamored with him when I was 10, and I watched every episode of Silver Spoons. In case you thought I might be cool at all, I am about to erase that image... My sister Tasha and I used to actually KISS THE TV when he came on the opening credits! Yes, lips on glass, trying not to get electrocuted in the process. Please again, remember I was TEN, people!

The highlight of shooting this season so far, has been lying on the ground of the rat infested alley to shoot the "getting shot" scene. Oh yeah, the intoxicating urine smell floated around us all, and a GINOURMOUS RAT ran across our feet where we were all sitting! My makeup artist Bridgette screamed bloody murder, and dropped her big box of makeup (that she carries around to make me look "natural"... ha!!!) and it was quite a night. I got home when the sun rose. I highly recommend the experience. Again, kidding.

What else? To answer the abundance of questions and rumors about "is this the last year???" The answer is "I don't know." All I know, is MY contract is finished in November. I am not psychic, I have no idea if this is the last year of the show, and if it is not, I can't say if I will, ot will not be there next year. We all just have to wait and see.

I hope you enjoy the premiere episode on the 12th of June! and I think you will really enjoy the new dynamic of what Rick adds to the show. As well as some twists, turns, and Nestor Carbonell...also painfully SWEET!
Hope you all have a safe Memorial Day!

Much love and appreciation,
Rosa
