The Sun Sign is what we look at in those general listings in newspapers, magazines, etc. to see how close or far off they are. They are accurate, yet general for that specific energy. The Sun sign is but one component of your astrology energies.
The Moon sign may be any of the zodiac signs, as it changes through ALL signs in ~ 28 days. This is another reason that while people may share the same birthdate, but different years, they have very different emotional responses.
