By JULIA GLICK Staff Writer, (609) 272-7213
LINWOOD - Police found and arrested the suspected driver in a hit-and-run accident several hours after an 18-year-old man was killed while walking on the side of Route 9 near Seaview Avenue on Tuesday night, authorities said.
Nicholas Marvel, who lived in Egg Harbor Township and worked at the ShopRite in Somers Point, was walking south with two friends at about 9 p.m. when a car crossed out of its lane and hit him from behind, police said. Marvel was taken to the Regional Trauma Unit at the Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he was pronounced dead, police said. None of the witnesses were hurt.
The driver who hit Marvel drove away, police said.
Detective John Hamilton and Lt. Barry Wythe of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office arrested Paula Cicchinelli, 55, of Somers Point at her home at about midnight. She faces charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, failure to report an accident, driving while intoxicated, failure to stay in her lane and reckless driving. Cicchinelli paid her $5,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment today.
After the accident, Somers Point and Northfield police aided in closing Route 9 between West Avenue and West Patcong Avenue for more than two hours, police said.
The investigation continues, and anyone with any information should call the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office at (609) 909-7800.
Farmer, doll, you will be so missed. I really can not believe you are gone, and even though you are not here in body, you will be here in spirit. It will take me some time to realize that you are gone, but I know when it dose kick in, you will see me cry from heaven, you will hear me call your name, you will hear me say I miss you, and that your death will not be in vain.

Today was Nick's funeral. i think it was the hardest thing i ever had to do. To go there and see him, it didn't even look like him. My friend told me after the bitch hit him, he flew and hit a sign. She also said that, he did not suffer too much because when he hit the sign his brain went dead, but his body was still wroking a lil, he was shaking and such. He was walking with Doug Woodward and Andy. After he got hit Doug held his head while Andy tried to signal a car for help. To see everyone today was so hard. I hope no one ever feels what i felt today. The veiwing started at 10am, but because there were so many people, they did not beign the funeral services until 1pm. His parents were there, his mother before you go to see him, his father after. While me and Andrea were in line to see him, we were reminising about all our "Fun Farmer Times" Like the Fart war he had with his father, and the time he farted in andreas mouth. They time he wore his pink UFOS with black boxers lol. The time he let me drink (my granmom is proly kicking him for that). I huged his mother when i went up, then i looked at him, it was so hard, his father came up to me and said "Sam, did you full-fill what he wanted, did you say goodbye" I replied "I can never say goodbye to him, I will see him one day, but I will miss him until then." Nick was buried with the following: He was wearing his favorite ICP shirt; he also had his other favorite ICP shirt; His gold ICP hachet man chain; His hachet; 2 cigerettes; his keys; 2 car magizines; a bottle of Faygo; and a small bottle of his favorite, Jack Daniles.lol thats our Farmer.
RIP NICK, GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!
