History of Titanium ChefTitanium Chef 4 Backcountry Cookoff$20 entry fee. The first Titanium Chef started out as a Trail Talk trip from thebackpacker.com (Tc1), and drew backpackers from 15 different states to Grundy State Forest in Tennessee. After that, Titanium Chef stuck. Tc2 was held in Big South Fork, and then Tc3 moved to the tiny town of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. The town and the Cumberland Gap National Park embraced us with their warm hospitality. Titanium Chef was given a home for backpackers to convene, explore the beautiful and historic area, and take part in some good eatin’. So come on out to the Heritage Trails Festival and support Tc4 in 2004 for the weekend of October 15th and 16th. Please see the document “Rules for the Chef” on the requirements to enter. You must be able to hike 7.5 miles to Martin’s Fork, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. First prize includes a one-night stay at a beautiful bed and breakfast.
