Qualifications & Training

At the present time I hold an ICP qualification and an NVQ 3 in Children's Care Learning & Development. In addition to this I am completing Quality First which is a quality assurance scheme for Registered Childminders.

I am a member of Hampshire Cluster Childminding Network and as such am regularly assessed by my Network Co-ordinator to ensure I am offering a quality childminding service. I am also an Accredited Childminder and can offer free early years education sessions to eligible children (normally aged 3 and over) similar to pre-schools and nurseries.

I hold a paediatric first aid certificate.

As childminders we are offered a variety of training courses and I try to attend as many as possible. I have recently completed:- Birth to Three Matters
Activities for Under 3s
Music for Under 3s
Introduction to Early Years Foundation Stage
Workshops on Early Years Foundation Stage
First Aid
Food Hygiene
Self-Evaluation Tool-kit To Enhance my Professional developement I will be attending the following training courses in the near future:- Advanced Child Protection
