Become a Rising Star
A girl's participation in the Rising Star program will help make her a strong leader. This program is not a pageant. The Miss Alabama Rising Star Program is a way of encouraging young girls ages 7-11 to recognize the Miss Alabama contestants as outstanding role models.
What does the Miss City of Springville's
Rising Star do?
Receive a Crown the night of the Miss City pageant!!!
Participate in the Miss City of Springville Pageant in August 2009 and the Miss Alabama Pageant in June 2010!!!
Meet the current Miss Alabama, Miss City of Springville and the contestants competing for the title of Miss City of Springville.
Make mandatory and voluntary appearances with Miss City of Springville throughout the year.
Go on outings and have a photo shoot with Miss City of Springville.
Learn and Have lots of fun!!!
Fee: $50.00 – Make checks payable to Miss City of Springville
Pageant Date: Saturday, August 29, 2009 @ 7pm, at Springville Middle School Auditorium.

Dear Parents and Potential Rising Stars:
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Miss City of Springville Rising Star!!!
We are making changes to our Rising Star Program this year. We are requiring that each contestant have a Rising Star. They can either bring one that they already have or we will assign the contestant with a Rising Star if they don't have one. So, we are starting a list of Rising Stars who will potentially be assigned to a contestant. There is no cost to get on the list. But, there is a chance that you might not have the opportunity to participate this year. The list will be on a first come first serve basis. Meaning that, as the completed* paperwork package comes in the mail we will put you on the list. The paperwork should be mailed to: 191 Wilson Street, Springville, AL 35146. There is a fee of $50.00 per girl to participate. You must send us a $50.00 check in order to secure your spot on the list as part of your completed* package.
Only completed* packages will be added to the list. If you are selected, we will deposit your check. If you are not selected this year, then we will return your check to you in the self addressed/stamped envelope that will also be included in the completed* package. The contestant that is selected as Miss City of Springville and her Rising Star (either that she brought with her or that is assigned to her that day) will serve the City of Springville for the coming pageant year. Thank you again for your interest in the Rising Star program. It is proving to be a wonderful experience for all involved.
*A Completed Package will include:
1. The Rising Star Application
2. $50.00 Security Check
3. Self-Addressed/Stamped Envelope
4. 5X7 Color Headshot Photo
Deadline to sign-up is August 15, 2009.
If you are not selected as a Rising Star this year, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend the Miss City of Springville Pageant. Please come and introduce yourself to us. We would love to meet you. We hope to see you on August 29th!
