The not-so-permanent Home of Kao-Keo

Kao-Keo is a Mogadore, learn here.

Just what is a Mogadore you ask?

I'm now open for commissions! Check for information on the newly added commissions page!

((Just a note, any comments on anything on this site, either send to my e-mail, or leave a comment in my Guest book. Thank you.))

Well, what better way to start off a site dedicated to my long standing and only true fursona Kao-Keo, than by telling you all about her unique species.

A Mogadore is the result of cross breeding between rabbit and lemur, usually ending up just looking like a long eared lemur with less than symmetrical markings, as rabbits are more commonly found. They have the feet with opposable toes, the prehensile tails of lemurs, and most commonly ringed, as the most prone species to the crossbreeding craze was the ringtailed lemur. Though there are the oddballs with solid tails, or paws like a rabbit, or even the complete anatomy of a rabbit save a long, and quite beautiful and useful tail in place of the small fluff. The species isn't very common, with less than 500 in all, and the number of rabbit dominant Mogadore is quite low indeed, with not even enough to use all the fingers counting on just one hand. Most new Mogadores are born to Mogadore parents, with the laws against interbreeding becoming more strict as more birth defects are finding their way into many communities, few hybrid species are even recognized as anything but less than perfect creatures. But the Mogadore, as had been observed in almost all cases, bred quite well between the mixed parents, so the hybrids themselves have also been allowed to breed, one of less than a dozen newe species allowed this privelige.

The Mogadore species as a whole are generally bright and cheerful, with the energy and humor of the lemur, and the caution and sex drive of the rabbit. They yeild only one or two young per pregnancy, and fertility rates are quite low, though this is no concern, since many would rather just have a mate to live into old age with than raise a family with them, but they do make wonderful parents, often times keeping thier young until their own death, and leaving everything to the child and his/her mate. If multiple children, they normally expand the home so they can live there into their own death with their own mate, making many Mogadore homes quite large and eclectic, every add on looking different than the main home. They prefer the quiet and open lands of the countryside, especially with a large expanse of woodland included in their property. Many even tend to be avid gardeners, but mainly of trees and flowers, shunning the vegetables for the fruit of the tree, the more lemur like appetite showing strong in this sense. They do eat a decent amount of meat as well, and tend to enjoy fruit juices over all else. [Kao-Keo's personal favorite beverage being orange juice, a close second is root beer]

Well, I feel that is a decent enough explaination of the Mogadore for now, I'll work on this some more and I'll post all updates when I can think of something appropriate to add/change.
