- NULN CHECKLIST - (at the end of the document there is also index about the places from the map) Version 1.65: 1) Little english grammar correction: With Shire I meant Shrine. 2) Changed the location of Odfast's Tavern and Pipehouse (the Od-house) to the Kleinmoot area. 3) From the Warpstone Magazine I found few theatre houses: - Temple of Drama - Duke's of Nuln Version 1.6: 1) Scale numbering has changed little. To give it more - well, professional look. 2) Added few Chapterhouses of different Templar organizations in the Temple names. These are connected (same property) to the temples of various Gods: - The Black Guard - Knights Griffon - Knights of the White Wolf - Order of the Rightenous Spear - The Order of the Sword and Scale 3) Gone is now "Chapterhouse of Order of the Eagle". Little mistake. Order of the Eagle IS the Myrmidian Temple and its priests, not the templar order. I have changed the location to Holy Order of the Templars of Sigmar. 4) Changes to the Watch Stations: - New Watch #1: Aldig Quarter Watch or "Palace Watch" - New Watch #2: Faulestad Dock Watch. Even watch dont like not enter Faulestad Slums, there probably is one station here also. - New Watch #3: River Patrol. I think they need HQ also. Aver Island is special (army barracks and few taverns) place and nicely middle of every river. SO, it is here then. - New Watch #4: Northern Docks Watch. - I changed the order of Watch-Stations (numbering). - Changed location of Handelbezirk Watch little, because new Northern Docks area and Northern Docks Watch. 5) Added Temple of Handrich. Might be small, but probably still very active in the Nuln. 6) Added new district #1: Elven Town. High Elves probably have some standing in the Nuln. Small corner which used to house Ulthuan Embassy back in the capital days. Some Elven shops and tradehouses now...etc. They also have their own harbor area for Elven ships. - Elven Trade Hall - Elven Gods Shrines - Some new parks there too 7) Added new district #2: Little South. I had a idea to make somekind of ethnic area for both Tileans and Estalians. So, this is it. Poor area situated near Cheap Street and Shantytown. 8) Shallyan Hospital for the poor (Faulestadt). Rich don't want that poor scum... I mean folks, to come to their nice side, so better give Faulestadt own hospital. 9) Halfling stuff from the Shades of Empire (WFRP2 sourcebook): - The Cock and Bucket Inn from the Warhammer Companion (WFRP2 sourcebook). Mentioned to be in the Nuln in Shades of Empire (WFRP2). This also brings Workshipful Guild of Legalists close. - The Quinsberry Lodge: Nuln as presented in the Shades of Empire. - Odfast's Tavern and Pipehouse (the Od-house), as mentioned in the Shades of Empire. 10) Other Shades of Empire (WFRP2) stuff: - Aquila Academy (because this moved Temple Quarter Watch little) - "City Whispers" press/printing house - "The Truth" press/printing house - "The Nuln Proclaimer" press/printing house 11) South side of Nuln (River Upper Reik) the Cliff is now called Halbinsel Fels or just "Orc Cliff" by locals (first name been official and referring Der Halbinsel village, and second connected to Hobgoblin Hill). 12) Added large Cattlemarket (Stockyards) and Slaughterhouses area in the Faulestadt. They got to bring those animals somewhere and it is NOT the northern side of Reik. 13) Separated Northern Docks area from Shantytown, because it is "better" area. Also created there own Watch (Northern Docks Watch) as mentioned before. 14) District Colours. I have created another map, with the district coloring to give little idea of their size and shape. 15) City Dockmaster Office & Der Halbinsel Dockmaster. Got idea for this from Warhammer Online (there is Altdorf Dockmaster). 16) Changed little city's shorelines. Northern Shore (Altestadt and Neuestadt) has less wharfs (as mentioned in the Forges of Nuln. Main harbour areas are Shantytown & Northern Docks and then Southern Docks. But I left Der Halbinsel mostly as it was. I took some wharfs away from the shore of Dwarfen Quarter. 17) Check out the Palace. New walls, new entering tower (Gate). All the way better protected now. 18) Changed little Der Hablinsel military area & Garrison. 19) One new guard tower to the Fortress Island (to give protection if anybody has any ideas to attack from Upper Reik. Version 1.5: 1) Scale. People just seem to need this. And what kind of map doesn't have one?! 2) In the Districts there is other (official) name for Shantytown & Northern Docks. This is "Fischerhafen", which is mentioned in the Mad Alfred site: The Return of Elementalism -article. 3) I took those village names from the roads away. So, what ever maps you use, they won't bother. They were originally from the small map, which can be found from the Tome of Salvation (WFRP2). But different maps have different villages end of those roads... so... 4) More guard towers. Walls are really long. Version 1.4: Most of these changes are based on the information found from the Corrupting Influence - The Best of Warpstone Volume 1 -sourcebook (WFRP1). There you can found great adventures "One Hour (To) Morr", "The Cannon Ball Run" and "A Buried Past" by John Foody, which are designed to be played in Nuln. 1) Jurgen Platz (A20) & Royal Excise Kommission Office (A21) from the Corrupting Influence (Royal Excise Kommission is NEAR the Jurgen Platz). This is difficult. It's place is close to North Gate? Within the commercial district and by the docks (also Cannonball Express Coaches HQ is there...). So, these places have to be moved, but where? At the end the best place is in the Altestadt still. Why? Well: - Royal Excise Kommision should probably be situated in the old city (Altestadt), because it has probably been there like forever. - It should be in well-to-do (or better) area. IT IS Royal Excise Kommision. - In Altestadt it can be easily placed close to gate (Griffon Gate) and the docks. - In this location it is in Kaufmann Distict which is commercial district and upper class area. - Also Inns in this location is said to be "not cheap", which suits this location again. - Only but is the "North Gate", but let's ignore that as mistake or Griffon Gate (X1) is just called that because some weird reason... 2) Eyk's End moves little to north. 3) Moved Hofbauer-Bodelstein Trading Co. (C23) to better position next Emmanueltplatz and Reik Platz. 4) Moved Shrine of Manann (C36) little away from the Shantytown. 5) Stag's Head Inn (CI). 6) Rised The Moon's Oar (D9) to middle-class place (one of the best bars in town, but cheap). 7) In the Corrupting Influence adventure "One Hour (To) Morr" by John Foody there is mentioned Nuln Bridge. I decide that Glory Bridge (F2) is old enough, that it was called Nuln Bridge also. Glory Bridge fits for the adventure very well. 8) Marshall's Folly Tavern (CI). 9) The Signalling Device / Tower. Communications system between Nuln and Altdorf through signalling devices / towers. Presented in the Death on the Reik sourcebook (WFRP1). 10) Dubenplatz (CI). 11) Moved Der Halbinsel Watch (W8) little. 12) The Alchemist and Clock Maker Tavern (CI). 13) The Nest of the Three Eagles Tavern (CI). 14) The Grapes and Hops' Inn (CI). 15) Based on the information from the Corrupting Influence Cannonball Express Coaches Headquarters (D6 --> A37) is located near the Jurgen Platz, so it has to be moved. 16) The Hammer of Black Fire Inn (CI). 17) The Vine and Grape Inn (CI). 18) The Quill and Inkpot Tavern (CI). 19) The Teamsters (C34 --> D6) and Stevedors (D13) Guilds have caused some changes: - Stevedors moved little closer to the Docks, as it seems to be by the Corrupting Influence. Faulestadt side seems good place for stevedors. - The Teamsters have moved from the opposite side of the river next to the Stevedors, as they seem to be next to each other on the docks by the Corrupting Influence. - I also had to remember what is in the "Curse of the Clan Heirloom" -scenario by Alfred "Mad" Nuņez Jr. & Timothy Eccles, so that changed the location of the Public House Rat and the Parrot (C30) which moves very much (from the Northern Docks all the way next to the Aver Island). This change should suit "Curse of the Clan Heirloom" very well. - With the Teamsters Guild comes also new place: the Mule's Kick Tavern (CI). 20) The Fair and Market outside the Griffon Gate (X1) or the "North Gate" (CI). 21) Jeweller Kobbel (CI). 22) Tailor Kappelmuller (CI). 23) City's Mint on the Bankers Row as told in the Forges of Nuln, with that Schlossfells Watch (W11) moves little. Version 1.3: 1) Four Seasons Coaching House. 2) Cartak Lines Coaching House. 3) Ratchett Lines Coaching House. 4) Added "Headquarters" to the Cannonball- and Imperial Expressways Coaches names (they are Nuln based). 5) The Von Blech Theatre. 6) Added some defenced more. 7) Expanded the map little to the south. 8) Made Iron Tower little more "tougher" fortress. 9) Added some small parks there and there. 10) Extended little docks areas. 11) Moved the Westen Watch (W6) just little, so it is on the opposite side of the street to the Granaries. As stated in the Forges of Nuln. 12) Moved Saucy Dwarf (D3) little also. Just a bit closer to the river. 13) Named two new district: Hobgoblin Hill (hill-area inside the Faulestadt) and Kreuzungstadt (shanty settlement outside the southern walls in the crossroads). 14) Added new site: Expanded City. This has some locations outside the City walls (Kreuzungstadt District, ferries, inn, Shrine of Taal & Rhya). Well, this doesn't really suit for current City map (all the upper class residences seem to be in Altestadt), so let's make it eastern site - Altestadt. 7) In Forges of Nuln there is note that Otto Jaegar has one of the best houses in the Kaufmann District, but also there is mention that his family lives in the Nuln Hill.
