The Hard Hitting Stories!

A word to the teachers By: Kadimah Kriss

Advice for teachers when they are teaching:

Ø      Listen to them and make sure they hear everything the student is saying.

Ø      If the student is hyperventilating, tell them to take a deep breath and speak again.

Ø      If the student is not listening to you, stop, and get their attention.

Ø      Speak clearly to ensure the student is hearing you.

Ø      If the student isn’t speaking clearly, be polite and first say excuse me and then tell him/her to start his sentence over.

Ø      Keep your desk neat and clean so you don’t loose your student's papers.

Ø      Make a homework box and put it out side your door in case the student forgot to hand in his or her homework, they can put it in.

Ø      Be kind to the student if they are having a bad day.

Ø      Take the time to ask the student if he or she is ok so that

        they can express their feelings.

Ø Make the class entertaining so the kids want to pay attention.

Ø Never yell at or embarress your students because they have to feel like that for the rest of the day.

This is a students view on their every day lives at school. I’m sure they would appreciate you to do this!
