Just Lyra

Hello and welcome to my first real attempt at writing a novel.

First off, I would like to warn all of you readers that this is copywrited and I am definitely not above suing anyone.

Now that that's over with... I'm Ocean, and I'm the author of Just Lyra, the story that is being told on this site.  It is not done yet, so I'll be updating as constantly as I'm able to.  There is a guest book, and I'm hoping to figure out the coding enough to make you all able to leave comments on the individual chapters as you please.  You can also e-mail me at oceanlady@gmail.com with any comments you may have.  The purpose of making this site is so I can pass it on to my friends and get some good criticism to make this novel the best I can make it before sending it in to the printers.  This is the first time I've actually had the entire story all thought out before starting to write, so I'm hoping it'll go a lot better than it has in the past.

If you think you'll forget to check back (I know I always do when my friends send me this sort of thing), e-mail me and I'll add you to the list of people I'll be e-mailing when I update the site.

Sorry again, finally updated and still more to come.  Finish reading chapter 8 before starting 9, I ended in the middle of it last time.

Sorry I haven't been updating, folks.  I'm home, but now I'm bogged down with college.  It will happen soon, I promise, I have tons more to write!

Updating again... don't give up.  I'm getting there... Those kids who just got this address, remember there's a part (i.e. all of chapters 2 and 3) that were not in my notebook... so you might want to re-read.  Any comments possible are greatly appreciated.  There are comment boxes at the end of every chapter for that purpose.  I like to know what you think, what makes sense, what doesn't make sense.  I will be sending this to the publishers when it's done, I think I've promised that already, but it needs to be the best it can be before I do that.  So I need all you guys to edit it for me... and please don't pass it on to too many people.  It's copywrited, and I can prove it's mine, but I still want to reduce the risk of stealing as much as possible.

Also, because I've been so slow at updating and no one seems to be reading and commenting anymore... if you want to receive updates when I manage to add to this site, post in the guest book and put in your e-mail.  I'll try to send out a mass e-mail when I get the chance, so you'll know there's more to read.

Ok, chapters one to three are up - comment boxes are at the end of each one, and forums are up and working, too.  Tell me if you have any problems with anything, and please comment - any comments I can get are useful.  Flame me for all I care, I just want to make this story the best it can be.
