I have produced this site to provide all the people of the world with the facts of Antonio's case, which left him UNJUSTLY on Death Row for ten years. In March 2001, he came 1 hour and 48 minutes from being executed for a crime he did NOT commit. The State Governor granted a last minute stay and upon review, his case was commuted to a Life Sentence without parole.
The crime was committed in April 1991 and the four defendants were arrested soon after, following Antonio's immediate call to the Police when he returned home, to report what he had seen, in good faith that justice would be done. It wasn't. There were a number of serious errors made in the Trial of Antonio and also in those of his three Co-Defendants, Marlin Gray (23 at the time of the incident), Daniel Winfrey (15 at the time of the incident) and Reginald Clemons (20 at the time of incident). These men were beaten by the Police and eventually so torn down with abuse that one of them confessed under duress. So too was the other Prime Suspect beaten, Thomas Cummings (the victims' cousin) and paid off with $150,000 by the Police and for his witness statements against the other men, so they could secure a conviction, even if against the wrong people.
With this site, I do not condone or justify the horrific ends of the Kerry sisters. Whether by accident or intent, what happened to the Kerry sisters was awful and unforgiveable and I send my sincere condolences to their family and friends. However, allowing the wrong people to be punished for that crime is unforgiveable too. We all know how the Police Departments like to keep their convictions for crimes at a high level, but not all of those working in these Departments are as Just as they should be and sometimes the 'scores' matter more to them than the sincerity of the prosecution system.
I am fighting for Antonio's Case Review and hopefully, his release from the Hell that is prison. He has never known the outside world, he was just a teenager when this crime happened. He has a son, with whom he would dearly love to do normal father-son activities with. He does not deserve to be in this Institution for a minute, let alone the duration of his life. So please, read all the facts of this case, the conflicting evidence, the inconsistent and conflicting testimonies of the only witness, who himself was the Prime Suspect until the Police realised they would be penalised for beating him and paid him off. Take some time, I am a level headed individual, a Degree student, I would not put my name to this if I did not believe 100% that this man deserves to be free. The only mistake Antonio Richardson has made, was to leave his home on that fateful night in April, 1991.
