Apparently a reliable source says so.

Andy is leaving The Distillers to go back to Darker My Love, here's a note from the distillers MB;

Hi everyone, it's me andy. i just wanted to write in and tell everyone that i've officially quit the distillers. i am now in darker my love full time. i will miss everyone very much, i really appreciated all the support from everyone over the years. this has been very hard for me, and i'm going to miss brody and tony and ryan very much. none of this comes from any ill will. the four of us are still close friends, i am stepping down so that i can return to my friend tim presley, to continue playing with him. i started darker my love with tim during the nerve agents as an outlet for us to play exactly what we wanted to, without compromise, so i feel now it is my time to go back to that. again, thank you for all your support, i will miss the distillers, but i need to move on. i love you all.

The Distillers don't have many specifice about their new album just yet, but frontwoman Brody Dalle does know one thing: "It's not going to be a pop record, like top 40- thats just fucking impossible" she proclaims. "It's going to be a punk-rock record" That said, well, sorry- the band members prefer not to speculate. "I think putting too much forethought into this stuff kind of ruins it" says drummer Andy Granelli. "If you're spontaneous, it comes out better, because it's more honest" Dalle says the band would like to spend less than two weeks in the studio, adding that Shirley Manson cameo is likely, but beyond that, you probably have as good an idea of what the next Distillers album will sound like as they do- which is just the way Dalle likes it. "It's really cool; everything's up in the air right now" she muses. "It's a good place to be"

The Distillers' Brody Dalle has been getting to work on the band's follow-up to 'Coral Fang'. "I've been writing material and learning how to use Pro Tools to file music on," she tells K! "We're actually prepared now to do it the way we always wanted to do it. We've lived through all the different experiences you could possibly have in that environment - like your engineer smoking crack, people fucking freaking out, people disappearing, spending five weeks trapped in the middle of nowhere - we've dealt with all of that. Now we're ready and it's gonna be great."
