J-C 10 tips

My 10 tips to make you a better carp angler:

1. Location-theres a saying in carp fishing 'its better to spend 15 minutes in the right place than to spend 18 hours in the wrong place.

2. Ignore the hotspots - every lake has its hot spots or swims ,why not ignore these for a few months and fish the less fished swims the ones that no body else fishes ,the fish could possible feed more confidently here as they aren't used to being caught from the spots.

3. Find the fish - before you set out your stall in your favourite swim for the night have a walk around the lake looking for signs of fish .

4. line - keep your line pinned down to the lake using backleads, flying backleads, putty, sink tubing and korda safe zone leaders also leadcore but i dont use it.

5. stay quiet - when fishing stay quiet this doesn't mean you cant talk, but avoid shouting.

6. hooks - make shore the hook point is sharp before every cast ,even if you havent caught anything ,because the point could become blunt when hiting objects on the bottom e.g gravel.

7. Baiting up - when baiting up bait up just past your rig making sure no bait falls on top of your line, because this could cause the fish to spook of it .
