2009 Club Bylaws
1. A point system will be in effect beginning with the first tournament.
2. Tournament entry fee will be due no later than 30 minutes before
takeoff of the tournament. If this is not done, it is your
responsibility to get your entry fee to the Tournament Fee
Collector before blastoff. If you do not pay your entry fee prior to
takeoff then you will not be eligible for prize money. **NO
EXCEPTIONS** All club members will pay tournament entry fee to be eligible for tournament points. **NO EXCEPTIONS**
3. The Federation tournament committee will be first five positions on blast off and are required to return in enough time
to recover their boat and to prepare the weigh in area for the returning anglers.
Any official that is allowed to trailer their boat can only trailer their boat at the official site for their catch
to be allowed.
Only one member from a club can fish by themselves. The same person cannot fish consecutive
tournaments by themselves. If two members from the same club show up without partners, it will be up
to them to decide how they will resolve the issue. In case of unplanned need, every angler is allowed
one exception, (per tournament season) to this rule so as to avoid leaving a boat on the bank. Every
effort will still be made to partner up members of the same club or within the region.
4. Official Time will be given each morning of the tournament by the
official time keeper. If you are late for Check In and it
is after the official time has been called, you are
disqualified. **NO EXCEPTIONS**
5. It is mandatory that each competitor be wearing his or her life
vest, zipped up at all times when the gas engine is running. (This
does not include durung the morning launch of the boats before
blastoff) Failure to comply will result in a
Disqualification. **NO EXCEPTIONS**. If any club member witnesses
another violating this rule, it is up to that individual to
notify the Tournament Directors, and their decision is final.
6. All fish brought to the scales will be measured with a
closed mouth on "The Golden Gator Rule". If you bring in a short
fish, you will lose that fish as well as your biggest fish. Each
tournament will have a 12 inch size limit or the legal lake/river
limit; Whichever is larger. The only exception will be on bodies of water in which there is a 5 bass limit of (2) 12"-14" and (3) 14"+. At these bodies of water you will be allowed
two fish from 12 to 14 inches and two over 14 inches.
7. All state and local laws will apply. Any violations of such will
result in a disqualification.
8. Big Fish for the year is accumulated through entry fees throughout the tournament season. ($5.00 of the $20.00 entry will be transferred into the BFOY prize.)
9. You will be allowed 1 drop during the year. This means you will drop
your lowest score from all tournaments throughout the season.
10. Membership will be limited to 18 members.
11. Nonboaters are required to find a boater/partner for any event they plan to fish.
12. All participants of any Junebug Bass Club regular season event must be members in good standing of both Junebug Bass Club itself, as well as Regions 6 of the Virginia Federation Nation.
13. All club members have a right to voice their opinions, and issues
may be brought up for vote by anyone. Simple Majority vote of
paid members present wins. President will cast tie breaking vote.
14. Club dues are $100.00 per year; due in full by December 1.
15. Any open tournament hosted by Junebug Bass Club will be a team
tournament with a 5 fish limit. Entry fee is set at $50.00 plus an
optional $10.00 big fish pot. Payback will be 80% (100%
big fish pot) and will pay one place per 7 boats.
16. Presidents may only serve one term consecutively. Members can serve multiple
terms as president, but never in back to back years.

membership vote.

**Please note that the rules above are Junebug Bass Club rules solely, and Region 6 of the VFN, in which our tournaments will be held in conjunction, also has individual bylaws. Some of these may differ from procedures we have practiced in the past. Please review them before the start of the season.**
