This tutorial was written by Julie on November 28th 2006.
I wrote it for Libbi when she asked how I came up with this tag.
It's concept is copyrighted to Julie. Any creation you make from my ideas are yours. You may print out this tutorial for your own personal use, but please do not copy it in any way to put online, pass out or rewrite without my permission or worse yet attempt to claim as your own.

This was written for psp 9 but will work in other versions.

For this tutorial you will need

Paint Shop Pro

Graphics Plus here
Funhouse here

An image of your choice.
I used an image of Eddie Ostrowski
I purchased a license to use his work from CILM.
Eddie Is now selling his work on his own for PSP use.
Check him out here.

A few miscellaneous brushes of your choice.

A Font of your choice.
I used 4 Magic DNA which can be downloaded here.

Ok we are ready to start.

REMEMBER TO SAVE OFTEN

Step 1:

Open your image/photo in PSP. Open and minimize your fonts.
Open a new image 600 x 600 transparent image and flood fill with white.
Set that to the side and go back to your photo. Duplicate it and close the original.
Now add a 1 pixel border to your image.
Then add a 4 pixel white border.

Edit>copy your bordered image, then click on your new image and paste as a new layer.
Resize this layer by 80% (may be a bit different depending on the size of your original photo)
Duplicate this layer and then resize your copy by 80%. Image>Rotate 15% to the left.

Duplicate your rotated layer, then click your duplicate of that and resize by 80% again, and rotate it 30% to the right.

Now arrange your layers the way you would like them to look. You can refer to my tag to see how I placed mine, or move them differently. Whatever you think looks best for your tag.

When you have them arranged, hide your white background layer, and click one of your image layers, merge visable.
Then unhide your background layer.
Click on your merged layer and duplicate it.

Now working with the original merged layer (bottom one) go to adjust> blur > gaussian blur @ 15.
Resize by 90%

Effects > plugins > graphics plus > cut glass - apply with default settings or the ones shown below

Effects > plugins > Funhouse > Moire mirror - apply with default settings

If you don't like how the effect looks with your image, you can play with the settings a bit or even try a different effect.
Resize this layer by 90%

Activate the top merged layer and resize it by 85%. Move it around a bit until you like the placement.
Add a Drop Shadow of your choice. I used
Vertical and Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 60
Blur = 2
Color = Black

Now you could be done if you liked - but I love brushes.
Click on your lower merged layer and then add a new layer
Find one of your favorite brushes and add a bit around the edges.
You can also use text brushes if you like.
Keep adding new layers for each brush.
When you're finished, crop out the extra white around your tag.

Resize your tag to a manageable size
Add your artist copyright and taggers watermark on a new layer.

Merge visable.
Add your name as a new layer.
I used Magic 4 DNA size 48 with a gradient fill and stroke of 1 in black.

Add an inner bevel and drop shadow of your choice.

Here's another one using different filter effects.
