Previously The Vignola Market, Juliet's Italian Market & Cafe welcomes new and old costumers. The story beind us is quite simple; The Vignola Market located in downtown Frederick, formely owned by Luciano Vignola, was officially sold to new owner Juliet Kaufman in May 2007, and was later renamed to Juliet's Italian Market & Cafe.
Juliet handmakes mozzarella in the store each day and all the meats and cheeses are sliced daily to ensure freshness of our deli products. She also prepares all the frozen dinners sold in the store, as well as all the pastas, salads, and additional homemade content sold in the deli case.
As our store has grown with its customers over the years, it has still remained the same Italian market, but with new products coming in each day to add to the market's fulless, and additional homemade cooking to add to the cafe aspect. Along with these new products, we still carry the same Italian products as you've bought from us before. We also offer the basic subs and paninis that Vignola once offered, but our menu has been growing as new varieties have been added to our menu. Lastly, we have introduced our fresh baked goods and desserts, homemade by Juliet.
As for Juliet, you may know her from various places around town. She has worked as a chef and baker in downtown Frederick for years, most recently at places such as the Westside Cafe, The Wishing Tree Cafe, Time Square Cafe, and the Stone Hearth Bakery. Now that her dream of owning her own place is reality, she will be serving yummy, fresh, homemade food everyday at Juliet's Italian Market & Cafe.
