Updates Continued

Update 2/1/06
Hi Everyone.
I have some bad news. Julie was admitted to the hospital this morning.
She
had a doctor's appointment and he took one look at her and realized she
wasn't doing well. She is extremely tired and shakey and just needs to
be
supervised to make sure she will be OK. I THINK that they MAY run some
more
tests to make sure that her heart can handle things right now but
otherwise
she is just resting. Don't worry she is fine!
Chris

Update 2/6/06

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update for you all. We were hoping that Julie would come
home
today but instead it will probably be tommorrow instead. However, she
is
confinded to the house until Saturday after she gets home. Even then
her
main doctor doesn't want her doing much. She won't be online too much
because she sleeps the day away but she does go on some.
I hate to say it but... she is fading before my eyes. Please don't let
up
prayers you guys!
Chris

***Julie gets her new heart***

Update 2/21/06

Awesome news you guys.
JULIE MAY BE GETTING A NEW HEART!!!!!!!!! She is at the hospital as we
speak
getting all the necessary things done with and out of the way! The
surgery
may be in a few hours, if everything goes as planned. But please know
that
Julie is extremely weak and that even if she gets into surgery, she may
have
a rough time making it through. So please please pray! Dave told me
that one
of Julie's doctor's pulled him aside and told him that there was a very
real
risk for Julie because of the state she is in but that this is her only
chance! So please please pray!! I will be leaving for the hospital ASAP
I
believe! Pass it on!
Chris

Update 2/22/06

Dear Everyone,
This is Chris. I have some good news and some bad news. The good
news
is, is that she got her new heart. The bad news is, she is struggling
very
hard right now. She can't breathe on her own, her body seems to be
shutting
down. And now, her kidneys seem to be shutting down as well, as I have
just
heard. She is put on insulin as well.  She is not out of this. As a
matter
of fact, she hasn't woken up yet, which the doctor's say doesn't happen
very
often. The doctors and nurses are extremely concerned for her and she
will
remain in the ICU for quite some time.
The surgery was very complicated. It didn't go as well as planned
or
hoped for, but Julie survived. All together, Julie pretty much died on
the
table 4 times, but thank God, they were able to bring her back. Her
body was
so weak that they weren't sure if she was going to make it through. But
she
did, barely.
I got home earlier this morning so please please forgive me. I
know
that a lot of you were waiting up to hear, but Ryan (our friend) by
accidently fell asleep and then had computer problems with our
computer. I
was going to come right online this morning, but I was exhausted and
just
woke up 15 minutes ago. So please forgive us for those who were
waiting!
Things have been a little crazy over here so please be patient with us.
Ryan
will be at Julie's home while we are gone so he will be on and off the
computer.
Julie is in bad shape, I will not lie. Things don't seem to
lighten
up for her at all at this point. I have not been able to see her but
may be
able to today. Dave and Jess saw her, but they came out in 5 minutes
crying
their eyes out. She is not doing well, so please pray!
Please email Julie with the title "Ryan" if you want more immediate
things.
Also add Julie to your messenger so that Ryan can update you all.

i will update ASAP, I am heading back to the hospital
Chris

Update 2/26/06

Hi Everyone
This is probably going to be extremely short but I wanted to let
you
all know what is going on with Julie.
Here's the deal. Julie's body may be rejecting the heart. The
body's
automatic reaction to something "foreign" is to attack it. Even though
she
is taking rejection drugs there is always a very big chance the body
will
reject it. And the doctors are extremely concerned because Julie shows
some
of the warning signs of rejection. One of them being that she has been
unconcious for most of the time. This is not good at all you guys. They
are
running a bunch of tests and I mean A LOT but we probably won't know
anything until the morning
Our church had a candlelight vigil tonight for Julie. Ryan told me
that
there were so many people there that they could not count. The parking
lot
at the church (which is quite big) was filled to the max.
I will try to update as soon as possible!
Chris

Update 3/4/06

Hi Everyone,
i am sorry to everyone that I haven't updated in so long!  I have to
make
this kind of quick but i will update as soon as I Can.
Julie is getting much better there was a lot of complications and at
one
point, they didn't really have much hope of her surviving but she did!
she
is now off the ventilator and will be out of isolation probably
tommorrow! 2
huge steps in julie's recovery! she sleeps an awful lot and is barely
awake.
she is not eating whole food yet, food through a tube to be exact. she
is
really uncomfortable and is in a lot of pain, but the doctors are
giving
lots of meds for that. she is hanging in there and all we have to give
credit to is god.
Pleae keep praying! These are big improvements but the doctors are
reminding
us that she still has a long way to go! Update soon!
Chris
PS If you are in a group of Julie's and would like to help me out and
post
this I would appreciate it! it helps me a lot ! Thanks

Update 3/8/06

Hi Everyone
Chris here. Just wanted to let you all know what is going on.
Julie's
health has declined again, she has spiked yet another fever, which is
NOT
good! They may have to put her back in isolation so that she can get
over
this bug or virus or whatever it is. She also has been waking up in
fright
spells I guess you can call them and they are worrying all of us. She
will
wake up suddenly and jump and start crying. We don't know really what
is
going on yet with that.
BUT she is doing better then she was a while ago. She is still
hanging
in there and is still off the vent and everything. She will be alright
because she is God's angel from above. She has touched everyone's lives
that
she met. I have met no one like her ever.
The doctors are aiming to have her out of the hospital and home
before
Easter comes. I know that seems like a while away, but it really isn't
any
more. It is right around the corner.
Not too much else to report. Dave, Jess and I are doing fine. We
got a
nice hotel room (quite spacey) and take turns occassionaly being there.
We
always work it so that one of us is always at the hospital.
I am sorry the updates are so far apart but it's hard for me to get
on
the computer very often. Email me if you have any questions.
Chris

UPdate 3/13/06

Hi Everyone,
I come in good spirits to you. Tommorrow it will be 3 weeks since
Julie
had her surgery and she is doing better and better! She still has quite
a
while to go but she is making it! She sleeps most of the day away
because of
the meds and just because her body is so tired still. She still has an
IV in
her and isn't eating whole foods yet. But she is even talking! She even
is
cracking jokes a bit. It's so amazing to hear. The next step for her is
to
get out of bed and walk around. She just doesn't have the energy yet to
do
that. The nurses have to exercise her legs once a day (leg stretches
and
moving the joints) so that her legs don't become immoble. She has had
so
many complications with this surgery, the doctors are taking every
precaution and taking things very slow. They still plan for Julie to be
home
by Easter, but anything can happen!
The nurses and doctors have told us that Julie is something out of
the
ordinary. Something so special that everyone can notice that. That she
has
something about her that they can't put their finger on but it's
definately
there. We always just smile and say she is an angel from God. Julie is
special. She has touched so many people's lives and have become great
friends with a lot of people! She has even saved some people's lives.
SO HERE'S MY IDEA!! PLEASE READ! So I was thinking about what
would
maybe help Julie from being so far away from home and in the hospital.
And I
came up with this amazing idea! And I am asking for all of your help! I
was
thinking that it would really help for Julie to hear from her friends.
So
here's my idea. If Julie has touched your life in some way, I want you
to
write Julie a letter saying how she has done so. You can include
stories,
pictures, ideas or just write from  your heart. You can do anything you
want. What I also thought was that maybe those who Julie has helped in
the
past, could maybe remind Julie how much she has helped people. After
you are
done with the letter, I have one last request. And that would be to
pray for
Julie if you feel led and send her warm wishes and love. If you wish,
you
can light a candle, whatever you want to do. You can EMAIL ME with all
the
letters and I will print them ALL out!  My email is
livinglife4jesus@hotmail.com
I think this would be so awesome. I will then give them to Julie to
read as
she is able to.
If you have any questions email me. And I hope to get some
letters
soon!
Chris

Update 4/3/06

Not much to report with Julie. She is progressing and is looking
better day after day. She is able to walk a whole lot now but still
gets extremely tired. Having her home by Easter is looking more and
more possible! She will be on very strict regulations though when
she comes home, where she will not be able to leave the house for
quite a while but she is doing well!!!

P.s. Julie will still be honored to see ur emails!!!

Chris

Update 4/10/06

Hi Everyone.
Well Julie will most likely be coming home sometime this week! Easter or before! I am so excited! It's been so long. But ya she is healing nicely and is still pretty out of it but seems to be getting a little strength back. The doctors are pleased, and are a little suprised that she is doing so well.
I have a wonderful story to share with you all and I thought you would like to hear about it too. Well, Julie was in her hospital room on Saturday (I think), a nurse (Nancy) who has been with Julie the whole time, came in. Nancy said something like how strong Julie is and how she seems so care-free. Nancy knows a little about the abuse Julie's life was filled with, and Nancy was saying how she can't imagine going through it. Julie looked at her and smiled and started everything out by saying "You know Nancy, I would never have been able to make it this far without God in my life and in my heart." This sparked a huge conversation about God and faith in between them. By the end of that conversation Nancy said "Thank you so much." And kind of left it at that. Yesterday, Nancy came in to check on Julie and shared some amazing news! Nancy said that she was mad at her old old old church and now has come to peace with them. She also mentioned that Julie helped her get back to God. I was AMAZED!
I didn't really know what to say so I let the girls talk while I read a book. They talked for about an hour (if not longer). Nancy did get in trouble but she could care less.
    Amazing huh?
I have a message from Julie for all people. Julie says
"Hi Everyone, Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts and warm feelings that were sent my way during this whole thing. I'm coming home everyone! I am so excited and happy to be home. One day alone is too long to be in the hospital. Oh and everyone knows how wonderful the food can be. And for those who haven't missed me, oh well I'm coming home lol. I miss everyone and talking to my friends online. I can't wait to get back and do some chatting! I have a new friend now who lives inside me, and it's keeping me alive. It was a gift from God and a wonderful gift at that. It bugs me a little because I know someone had to die so that I could live. I may be able to know who it was but later Dave and Jess say. But I also know that without all of you, I may not have made it either. Chris has told me many times that every time he goes online there is at least one person who asks about me. I will admit I am a little hurt because some of my really really good friends, seem to have forgotten me or haven't contacted Chris or Ryan about anything. But I know who my true and real friends are now. Thank you again for all of your support and I will see you all online SOON!
Love Always
Your Julie

Whew. That's about it here. Take care everyone.
Chris

Update 5/2/06

Hi Everyone,
Oh man I am so sorry! Time went by so quickly that I haven't been able to give an update to anyone. I am so so so sorry!!!! Well Julie is home from the hospital and has been for a couple of weeks. She is doing as well as to be expected. She is still extremely tired, and needs to rest a lot. She is on "House Arrest" for a while  because we don't want her over doing it. She can go to church though and a few other places but she mostly stays home. She is bored to death but that's OK I keep her busy lol.
She went to the doctors yesterday and he said so far everything looks alright but that her white blood cell count was a little high. But he says that should come down. And Julie also has to go in for another biopsy on Thursday, but that is normal procedure for her to go through.
We had a wonderful suprise party for her that Saturday she came home and once again the whole house was so packed we couldn't move. lol Well, close. She had a great time and she was so happy to see everyone from church and her new family. Tired her out though.
I do feel the need to bring a couple of things up and I hope you all don't criticize me for doing so. First of all, you all need to know that because of Julie's past we are not allowed to give out her location or phone numbers or addresses or anything. A lot of people get angry at me and Julie when we tell them we can't give it out and plainly I am kind of sick of it. Julie and I have told you guys repeadetly that we appreciate the gestures but there are security issues and we have to obey certain rules. You have to be so careful on the internet. Julie's past is full of torment and horrible things and I don't want her getting hurt again. OK??? She wants to talk to people on the phone from the internet she does, and she has nothing against them but she has to do what's right for her saftey. I hope that you all somewhat understand.
Also, I am sick of people calling Julie a fake. I am so sick of it it isn't funny. Julie has come to me crying or I have caught her crying countless times because of what people online say to her. Julie is Julie. I know Julie. Yes she has been through so much that it's sometimes hard to believe but for you guys to accuse her and not even ask her about it or give her a chance to explain is unfair in my eyes. She has had 4 or 5 people from what I KNOW come up to her saying that she is a liar and a fake and that she didn't even have a transplant. I hate to see Julie cry like that, and I don't think it's fair at all. Maybe I am stepping out of line here but what has Julie ever done to you guys? I hope you don't mind me bringing this up. Julie doesn't deserve the treatment she is getting right now.
Thank you for listening. If you have any questions/comments please feel free to email me.
Chris

Update 5/24/06

Hi Everyone,
Julie is going through a lot right now. There has been a lot of internet drama around her lately and it has taken a toll on her. She is not sleeping very well during the night and is having a little bit of a hard time. She has not been online very much at all, basically just because of this drama that is going on. (People are still calling her a fake and a liar). She also thinks she lost one of her best friends online. She is thinking about getting some sleeping pills, and will be going to the doctors on Thursday to see what she can do.
Also, one of the drugs she is taking for her heart is having a bad side effect to it. She bloats up and even throws up sometimes after she takes it. So that is what we are trying to figure out and will be going to the doctor tommorrow. It makes her feel very uncomfortable. But she is being a good sport about it.
She told me she hasn't been in any of her online groups in weeks. But who can blame her? So I hope you all can be patient and understanding right now for Julie. Plus she is also having computer problems (her computer died) so we have to use an out dated lap top.
I think she could really use encouragement from her friends. She told me the other day that she feels a little abandoned by her friends. What kind of shocked me was that she feels like she got all that attention because she was in the hospital, but now she is kind of "forgotten" by people now. And from the looks of it, it does seem that way but I don't think they are doing it on purpose.
If you have any questions for those who doubt Julie and her story, then email me and don't take it out against Julie. She has never told you all a lie. Contact me then.
Chris
