About Me

Hello, I am Julian Serna. I currently attend Nature Coast Technical High School. I am enrolled in the Engineering Technology Program that is available at my school. This is my digital portfolio that I have created to show you a digital explanation of my hardcopy portfolio. I hope you enjoy the website. Engineering Technology Program

In this course, you may find yourself preparing for college and an Engineering career of your choice. We use computers to do modular work and work with forum topics that are available to us each day. We also build many projects that are creative and

Daily Routine

Everyday we enter class we have assignments that need to be acquired as an individual, team, or as a whole class. These assignments can range from researching for daily topics to group discussions. Here are some examples of daily routines:

  • Forum Topics
  • Modular Activities
  • Portfolio (Hardcopy)
  • Portfolio (Digital)

Forum Topics

Forum Topics are a discussion generator that helps with writing and identifies what we know about that certain topic. Some forum topics may ask questions about technology and others may just give you information about technology. These forum topics are then posted into a program that I use in class called Learnmateand later into the digital portfolio.

Modular Activities

Modular activities are available in Learnmate. Within Learnmate, modules such as AutoCAD and Spectra CAM Milling are what we use for modular activities. For example, I go on Learnmate and select the module "AutoCAD", this module then teaches me how to use AutoCAD and other basic information about AutoCAD. These modules are a part of my daily routine in the Engineering class.

Portfolio (Hardcopy)

My hardcopy portfolio is an exact replica of the digital porftilio, except its a three-ring binder. It consists of artifacts that I collect everyday to identify the work I had done for that day. Artifacts may range from copies of forum topics to notes taken from class disccusions.

Portfolio (Digital)

The digital portfolio includes all of the information acquired from the hardcopy portfolio. All of the information gathered from the hardcopy is then transfered to my digital portfolio so that you, as the reader, may have an idea of how my hardcopy portfolio may be organized.
