5 out of 5 stars How long we have needed this voice, crying in the wilderness!
Reviewer: ynez reyes
How long we have needed this voice, crying in the wilderness! How deeply the distinctly meaningful prose etches it's way into one's heart. Have we forgotten?.... No! nevermore...for now we can remember the words of the poet Judy Jones, in her magnificient new spoken word CD, BONES OF THE HOMELESS,...how it FEELS to live and die in the despair of homelessness. We are not wild animals that live in the outback wilderness of civilization. Nor are others. Every citizen of this planet deserves to have a place to live, food, fuel, medical attention and a full education. Homelessness is a manmade condition! The culprit is an apathetic beaurocrasy that dominates with budgeted cold-heartness (to feed it's greed) withholding real opportunities that make true sucess possible. In our lifetimes, let us commit to choosing communication and compromise over war; and preventing the degradation of humanity with programs that INSURE support all the way with education, housing and OPPORTUNITIES for each citizen of this planet. Then we will have ittle need for penal institutions. What a nice world it could be...

4 out of 5 stars Bones of the Homeless reveals the plight of the underprivledged!
Reviewer: Celeste Ray
Judy Jones is an artist extraordinaire, a visionary poet and painter with a compassionate heart and mind. She expresses in this CD the apathetic viewpoint of the general public towards the homeless. In a picturesque and yet very real interpretation -- Jones calls forth for all peoples of the earth to be aware of the plight of the homeless and to reach out to those less fortunate..to be more human!

5 out of 5 stars You will never feel the same...
Reviewer: A'isha Rafeeq
This CD will touch the deepest inner part of your humanness and spirit, you will never be the same after listening to the depths of struggle, the reality of life, the touching voice of truth. It will shock you, move you to tears, and hopefuly social action. It will remove one from one's comfort zone, and cause them to review life, meaning, and existence. This CD is a gift of genius which everyone should hear, taste, feel, and act upon. If you feel any love in your heart, and can relate to your inner spirit, this is a must have CD. A million stars.

5 out of 5 stars jANIS POEM brught my professional poetry series to its knees
Reviewer: Dorothy Jesse Beagle, playwright, pianist, poet, songwriter-auth
Bones of the Homeless among most powerful poems heard at my eclectic Berkeley Whole Note Series. When Judy performed JANIS JOPLIN it brought the veteran poets to their knees. Guest artist Julia Vinograd is a legend in her own time, and one of noted SF Cafe Babar poets. Judy is inspired by spiritual beliefs that defy the usual church syndromes
