5/31/08: A cut down version of the article was published in the New Bern Sun Journal. I will be adding them to my website as soon as I can get a digital copy of them.
5/28/08: My article for the book was published in the Havelock News in Havelock, NC. You can read the article at www.havenews.com.
5/23-5/26: We attended Rolling Thunder XXI in Washington DC. This was a great weekend. We sold a bunch of copies of the book and handed out many business cards and book markers to gain interest in this project.

This book was illustrated by me using some of America's greatest Memorials dedicated to our Heroes both Fallen and Living. Remember: I am not a professional illustrator. They were drawn to allow Children to ask questions and there is also a 6-page coloring section. This should raise even more questions and allow you to be able to explain to them the purpose of these Memorials.
But PLEASE don't just tell them about the Memorials, take time on your Family Vacations to visit these wonderful historic locations and allow them to see them for themselves what these brave men and women fought and gave their lives and freedom to protect.
