Rochester Jr.Elks

Hello everybody,

We are finally ready to update the member's site. It will still be a little bit before the pictures are up, but at least we can get our kids out there for the world to see. We believe so strongly in all the Jr. Elks do, that we want the world to know all about it!

Kayla: I am a charter member of the Jr. Elks and am currently the president of this amazing group. In the Jr. Elks I have held the offices of Treasurer, Chaplain, and President. I am currently raising my fifth assistance dog for PAWS With A Cause, an organization that trains dogs for the physically disabled. His name is Quincy, and he is a 4 month old lab/golden mix. I also have a therapy dog, Jonah, that I visit Crittenton Hospital with every other Tuesday. I play snare drum in my school's marching band and percussion in wind ensemble. I am Christian and am very involved in my church. I volunteer in the nursery on Sunday's, chasing around 15-23 month-olds. It is a lot of fun. I love animals and I always have. I am a junior in high school and I would say I am a good student. I am very involved with my school's robotics team. We are through an organization called F.I.R.S.T. (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). It is loads of fun and I really enjoy it, even build season. I love my life                   

Haleigh: I am a charter Member of the Jr.Elks and I am Kayla's sister. I've been both Secretary and President of the Jr.Elks in the 4 years I've been a member. I like to play snare drum in my school's marching band and am a percussionist in wind ensamble, the highest band in our school. I am also a big Christian and enjoy spending Sunday mornings at my churchand my summers at my christian camp up north. I am a Sophomore at Rochester High School and I have relatively good grades. I am on the Robotics team as well and it is just as much fun as my sister explained it to be! Music is practically my life and I love playing it on many instruments. My main instruments include drums, guitar, and piano/keyboard. I am a fan of most rock types, but mostly classic rock and all of the 80's rock or "hair bands". I enjoy playing video games like Guitar Hero and Zelda in my free time and this summer I am learning how to skateboard. I enjoy my life and it is oodles of fun!

Jordan : I am the corresponding secretary of the Jr.Elks, I have only been in the group for around one year. I am a sophomore at Rochester High school. I am one of the two male flute players in the Falcon marching band, and play guitar as well. I find music is what really brings people together. My favorite bands are mostly hair bands from the 80's like, Metallica, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue,and some interesting characters like Buckethead, but I also enjoy new metal. I am also involved with the Robotics team at school. I am interested in some kind of Mechanics as a future career, so Robotics is a great way to get started. I'm big into Skateboarding and just having a good time.

Stacey : Hey my name's Stacey. I'm 16 and a junior in high school. I'm a charter member of the Jr. Elks and I love this group of kids with all my heart. I've held the positions of chaplin, president, secretary, and currently vice president. I love hanging out with my friends and acting completly crazy. I'm not shy at all and I'm never afraid to show people who I am. I love music of all sorts. I have also been playing the viola for almost 8 years and I love it! I love shopping and going to the movies with my friends. School is very important to me and I think I get pretty good grades. I hope to go to Michigan State University after I graduate and go into the medical field. I have been taking french for 3 years and I can pretty much hold a conversation for a couple minutes. I just received my license and I am a legal driver. Dont worry...I'm not that bad! I've met some of my best friends in the Jr. Elks, most of whom I call family, and I love them all dearly! Thats pretty much everything about me! <3

Andrew : I am going into the 7th grade. I am also a Jr. Elk at Lodge number 2225. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, play baseball. I also like to play golf. I really like helping the community with all of the projects we do. A song that I really like is "Wherever we go "

Kaitlyn: I am going into the fourth grade. I like to draw, jump rope, and read. I like going to friend's houses. I like to play tennis. I have a dog and two cats.

Lizzie: My name is Elizabeth, but friends call me Lizzie. I started dance classes when I was 4 years old. I danced for a few years, and then I tried cheerleading. My first year I cheered for the Saints, then the Seminoles. While I was with the Seminoles I met my favorite coach, Coach Danielle. This past year I cheered for the Lions and I am dancing again with my friend Cindy. Even though I have a lot going on, I really wanted to be an Elk so I can serve God and my community. This year I am also part of the Officer's Board as the Historian. My favorite song is "Too Little Too Late" by Jojo

Nick: I like to do a lot of stuff. I really like to play baseball. I started playing when I was in Kindergarten. I also really like to play football. My last team was the Lions. My favorite song is "Here We Go Again" by OkGo

Shayna: Hi...I am Shayna and I am a teenager . I love to cheer, dance and just have fun. I also love to play soccer. I love being a Jr. Elk because everyone here is like a second family. This year I am on the Officer's board as our Chaplain.

Sabrina: Hi, my name is Sabrina. I have one sister, and two brothers. I have a dog named Polo. I was a little shy for a while, but I have changed a lot at the Jr.Elks. I am now the Sgt.-at- Arms on our Officer's board.

Emily: Hey, what's up ? My name is Emily and I am going into the 9th grade. I don't really have a favorite subject because I hate school :) but if I had to pick one it would be lunch. (Is that a subject) ? Last year I was on the cheer team at my school. I am hoping to make the team next year when I get to high school. I have many goofy friends including Stacey (whom you can visit on this site ). I also have a brother named Thomas. I have four pets, 2 cats and 2 dogs. my family goes camping a lot in teh summer and all of my pets get to go too. My favorite kind of music is Alternative Punk and my favorite band is Fallout Boy.If I could spend a day with any celebrity it would be Pete,  the guitar player from Fallout Boy. Other bands I really like are My Chemical Romance, and 2nd Pink Spiders.
