7/1/07 Broadway FC 0 - 4 Townhouse Morley

The Broadway started off the new year poorly against a vastly improved Townhouse side with lots of new faces. The Broadway played up the hill and against the wind at cross flatts in the first half. This aloud Townhouse to pile on the pressure early on and various set pieces put G Taylor under pressure. Townhouses large travelling support were cheering a goal early on as a deep cross from the right was headed in at the back post by Lewis Grimshaw.

Grimshaw made it two from a corner leaping well again at the far post. The Broadway could not get into the game, Hazelgrave was working hard on the left wing but was missed up front and swapped with Bertucci.

A third was added for the Townhouse with a tap in for Cater and the Broadway were left a mountain to climb in the second half.

Dyson replaced Barker at half time but soon received his marching orders from the ref after a scuffle with Townhouses Keiran Leeder.

The Broadway were limited to efforts from corners and set pieces and very rarely threatened the Townhouse goal. A Nunns free kick was probably the best effort which the keeper turned round the post.

Townhouses tubby substitute finished the game off as the Broadway pushed forward rounding Michael Wood who replaced Taylor in goal.

Marshall picked up another MOM for a strong midfield performance, his return from injury was one plus point for the Broadway. He duly awarded Dyson TOTW for his red card.
