Priestley Hastings Hazelgrave
The Broadway were dumped out of the Leeds and district Cup after defeat to South Leeds United of Division 2. Sloppy defending coupled with woeful finishing cost the Broadway this week and they will have to improve their form when they return to League action. Hazelgrave, Sykes and Hastings all missed relatively easy chances and Hastings also had a penalty saved by the South Leeds keeper. Plusses for the Broadway included a return from injury from Jason Bertucci and a debut for Scott Merifield. Adam Priestley was one of the only players to take any credit from this game with a headed goal and deservedly received man of the match award. TOTW was awarded to the reigning trophy holder Tony Sykes for missing a couple of golden opportunities.
