About Me: My name is Nicki. I am the owner and artist of ~Joyful Blessings Nursery~ I am located in the USA in the state of Ohio. I have been reborning now for about 2 years. I absolutely LOVE the art of reborning. Making these babies come to life is such a joy!
~The Process~
Each baby is carefully and lovingly reborned into this perfect little blessing that you see in front of you. I give the babies their first bath and patiently wait for them to dry. I apply thin layers of my own BabyTone coloring using Genesis Heat Set paints. I “bake” them in the oven to heat the paints so that they are permanent. These paints will never fade, chip or crack. When I am happy with the skintone, I micro-root the babies’ hair one strand or two at a time using Premium Quality mohair. This is the longest process of all. On my sleeping babies I usually apply micro-rooted eyelashes as well. I put the baby together, usually giving the baby a new doe-suede or cloth jointed body. I weight my babies with tinest of glass beads and premium quality polyfill. I evenly distribute the weight of the baby throughout the entire body. My babies have a floppy head, so please support them when holding them. They all feel sooo cuddly!
All babies are no longer toys, they are a collectible blessing to be treasured forever.
