23rd December
We have had quite a lot of snow here, but no time to take pictures
However, this morning there was still a bit about, so some new pics for everyone!
Max came to play
, and some new pics of him on the gallery page (thanks Sarah!)
20th December
Yesterday, we travelled down to London for Olympia
Becca had been in bed all week with Tonsilitis, and wasn't feeling great, but nothing was keeping her from running at Olympia
. Teal ran brilliantly, they were well up on time, until one from the end, Becca had no voice (or energy!) left to send Teal on over the last, and just this hesitation cost them the 1/2 second needed to qualifiy for the evening final
However, they ran in the pairs competition in the afternoon performance, and were the fastest pair - sadly Teal had 5f and her partner 10f, so they ended up in 3rd place, but what a great day out
(and next year Becca will be fit so look out
) Have the videos and will try and upload them very soon!
12th December
Lovely to have Pete, Jennie and Cola over for a visit, how beautiful is Cola?! She was great and played so happily with sister Chewy - these two have always played beautifully together and I'm sure they remember each other
Pics on puppy and gallery pages
8th December
Short video of Chewy added to the video page!
1st December
No news for ages, as we haven't done anything lol We were entered at a couple of shows, but didn't go to either
Becca and Teal went to Northdowns show a while back, for some Olympia training really, and had a place in G7 Agility with a nice training run
. Chewy's training is starting now, first impressions are that she looks very keen, willing and focused, she is toy mad and that helps
Wren is looking very nice at training, still rather independant (ahem) but at times we actually do some of the course together
An improvement on her earlier style, which consisted of us heading off together at no.1, and then meeting up again at the end, having done pretty much two different courses inbetween
Thoroughly enjoyable for us both as it was, I have to say I am looking forward to trying our ''new way'' out too
4th November
New photos of Cola at 7 months old, added to the puppies gallery album
Thanks Pete, she is just beautiful
1st November
Congratulations to Deana with Gem, for winning their class at their very first open breed show
Champ shows here you come
24th October
Took Teal and Wiz up to our local obedience club, for their 'good citizen' tests
We had Teal booked in for the Gold, but couldn't remember actually taking any tests with Wiz, so put her down for Bronze and Silver. However, about half an hour before we were due to go, we went through the 'dog folder' to check the sheet for details of what the dogs have to do etc, and found Wiz's Bronze and Silver certificates
Oops! Anyway, despite only having 10 minutes training on 'send to bed', 'out of sight stay' and 'drop on recall', both girls passed comfortably
This only leaves Wren to take her Gold, and Chewy to take them all
Wren was fab in her class on Sunday so I think she would pass the Gold test without any trouble
- Chewy was a little boisterous though
15th October
A new camera so lots of new agility pics on the gallery page
Some new photos scattered around too
11th October
Had places on a training day with Dawn Weaver, couple of hours in the morning with Wren - I thought she went well, she is a lot of fun and is slowly beginning to notice I am around during an agility session
Then an afternoon session with Teal, and Becca with Wiz - again both girls worked well, it was super to do 5 hours training without having to plan it all out myself
10th October
Pink went along to her first breed show today, held at Horton Heath, with Charlotte handling her. We are so pleased for them, as they came 3rd in the breed, then finished with 2nd in AV Pastoral Puppy
What a fantastic start for them, well done
We know she is beautiful but nice that other people agree too
Photo's (thank you Karen!) added to the pups' gallery page

Very pleased to say that the result of Wren's Gonioscopy test is that she is 'Unaffected'
She also tested clear for everything in her standard annual eye test too
21st Feb
Show results added
20th Feb
Wren is booked in for her annual eye test on Monday, and she is having a Gonioscopy test too. With all the concern at the moment regarding Glaucoma, we felt that we were as well to test her. Obviously we are hoping for no upsets, she is not related to the lines which have currently been found to be affected, but my feeling is that the more dogs tested the better, so we can begin to see how widespread a problem (or not!) glaucoma is, in BC's.
If we decide to breed from Teal, she will, of course, be tested too
7th feb
Like many others, we have had a week of snow here, great fun for a day or so, but hard work too! Good excuse to get the camera out, and so lots of new 'snowy pictures'
25th Jan 2009
Wren has been mated! see our new page for details. Many, many thanks to Heather Turner (Locheil Border Collies) for allowing us to use Bond, we are all very excited about this litter
Teal has also come into season
She will not be mated though
.
It seems that Tantan may well have to be retired
, so we are left with just Teal and Wiz competing, which leaves no time for her to have a litter, but Wren will hopefully be back 'as good as ever' mid season (June ish) ...... we will have to see how Wren gets on and decide then when to breed from Teal
11th Jan 2009
Everyone's page gets an update! New pics on Billy and Tan's pages too
30th Dec 2008
New 'winter' photos on our home page, and on Wiz's page too
28th Dec 2008
Due to Teal still not having come into season, we have decided not to breed from her this time round (again
) as having pups in the show season isn't quite what we want! However, we may still breed a litter from her at some point
. I fear she may well be a 'one season every 12 months' girl like her two litter sisters, in which case we will have a hard decision to make next year
.
