Kristy Langford: What are you favorite horror movies?
Josh Weinberg: Well my favorite horror movies are hard to narrow down but a few are texas chainsaw massacure (original) John carpenters vampires and day of the dead.
KL: In your opinion, what do you think of all the remakes that Hollywood is coming out with?
JW: Well for some of them it works but i think for the vast majority it does not and all that hollywood is trying to do is make money of all the teenage kids that have for the most part probley never seen the original to begin with. In some cases it can work like the new Dawn of the dead i liked but not more than the original and i liked it for different reasons..it was fun to watch.
KL: How did you first get involved with Independent B Movie?
JW: Well back in high school i met Matt brassfield one day and became friends with him i really did not get to involved with the whole movie thing until after high school. Thats when i really got involved with acting in films directing in films and just hanging around on the sets... Shortly after that is when we started going out and meeting new people to add to our mix and becoming friends with such people as Andy Copp and Henrique Couto.
KL: Out of all the films that I've seen, Razor is my most favorite one. What was it like making that film?
JW: Making Razor was pretty fun for the most part we where working with some new people on this one and it was Director Brandon Wolmodorf first real film i believe since the Suicide series so it was cool working on his set since it was a little different than working on some of the other sets i was involved in like werewolf of ohio series and the farmer joe movie and it does not hurt when the director has some clue what is going on lol.
KL: I know that you play the character of Oliver in The Wolf Hunter. What's it like the have to wear that werewolf costume?
JW: Well it is not as bad as it may look or sound lol for the most part and i can see normally and move normaly the only thing is that it does not cover the whole head but what can you expect when your a very low budget company mask that cover the whole head are expensive lol.
KL: I really want to check out your flick, One Second Too Late. What was it like to direct this movie along with acting in it as well?
JW: Well it was hard it all started out as a project for two of my classes at sinclair.. a video class and a movie history class tought by Andy Copp ...it was hard to do which in some of the shots it shows i was trying to direct act and run camera at the same time but over all i am not to disatisfied with it and i am trying to finish up the sequel to it right know
2 seconds too late
KL: Who would you say are your biggest influences?
JW: Well to be honest every one that i am friends with that do this stuff. Every one from Matt Hoffman to Mike Ritchie Matt Brassfield Andy Copp..like i said any one that i have worked around and had the chance to learn from..thats what makes Independentbmovie good in my opion we all work together and learn from one another.
KL: That is really nice to hear and is one of the biggest reasons why I love being involved with independent films so much.
JW: Yeah i think that is what makes independent directors alot more fun to be around and to work with.
KL: What projects are you currently involved with or will be involved with in the near future?
JW: well i am finishing up 2 seconds too late and i am acting in two Matt Brassfield films Coctober blood and Frankensteind vs the Werewolf i just found out i get to die in a movie called long dead winter by Mike Ritchie and i am starting the planning stages and getting things together to do your movie Trail of Satan lol and looking forword to it lol.
KL: Hehe, I'm looking forward to that as well.
Before we go, are there any last words you want to say to everyone that will be checking out this interview?
JW: To check out our new and improved site at independentbmovie.net to look for us at all conventions and thank you for taking this time to do an interview.
