          Easter Parade

We're looking forward to a good Easter parade this year. Remember that Easter is coming very early this year, so get ready! If you would like to participate in the boat parade, be sure to have your boat gassed up and cleaned up. Decorate to impress, and get lined up at the starting point. We want this year's parade to be the biggest ever.

          New Year

We had a very good New Year's Eve this year and hope your New Year is blessed and filled with good fortune. The golf cart parade was very enjoyable to the residents!

          Halloween

We are pleased to announce that we had a very successful halloween this year! You may have noticed the ATVs that went from house to house down the streets with the children. Please continue to make our Halloween successful next year!

------------------------------------

In order to have a successful halloween trick-or-treat this year, we decided to make mention of it both on the website and in our newsletter. Several years ago. we had quite successful trick-or-treat nights, however the amount of people participating has diminished. If you plan to participate, please have your porch lights on and have plenty of candy. If you can't or don't want to participate, then please turn your outside lights off. Parents of kids who will be going, please remember to stay with your kids and carry a flashlight or have reflective clothing if going after dark, and if you will be driving, please slow and watch out for the pedestrians! Remember to check the newspaper for the date and time that the trick-or-treat will be held on, as it is not always on the 31st. Good luck, be safe, and Happy Halloween!

          Public Improvements

As you may have noticed, Josephine Village has undergone many improvements to its public accessible features. Both boat ramps have undergone improvements and renovations. The Oak Beach Blvd location now allows much better views with the removal of vines and weeds. The location is also more enjoyable with the addition of more grills and a very nice, concrete floored pavillion!

The Sentinel Point Rd location is much more spacious with the removal of vines and some thick growth. A new thick layer of shell rock as well as sod has been added as well as a pavillion. Josephine Village is pleasantly surprised and pleased with the improvements and would like to thank the county for their work.

If anyone has not yet seen the improvements, we encourage them to take a ride by the boat ramps and perhaps even spend some time having a picnic or fishing! The facilities are there for your use.

          Welcome!

Welcome to Josephine Village On-Line!

Josephine Village is located in the pleasant town of Sebring, FL situated on Lake Josephine. Whether you live in Josephine Village or just want to know more about the area, Josephine Village On-Line is a good place to start.

This page requires your help!  We are a non for-profit agency so unfortunately we cannot afford to put our name in the phone book, on all the search engines, etc. Tell a friend who also lives in Josephine Village! Be sure to give them our site address!

Occasionally, we distribute newsletters. Unfortunately, we do not know who has access to the internet and who does not. The purpose for the printed newsletter is to get the information on our site to residents who do not have a computer with internet connection.

          What's Online?

Josephine Village On-Line features several pages of community information including details about our community as well as government and council contacts. Josephine Village On-Line is the only locally produced and regularly updated website providing a comprehensive range of information for the people of Josephine Village and surrounding areas.

The information available is growing and we continue to update the site as more events and features are added to the Village.

          What is Josephine Village On-Line?

Josephine Village On-Line is the local website for people living in and around Josephine Village. It is locally produced and aims to include information and links useful to the people of the village. The Josephine Village On-Line website is safe and suitable for all users including children. With the region of 2000 people living around the village, there is surely something of interest on the website.

So Josephine Village On-Line is a search engine?

No. There is already a range of good search engines available on the web. Neither is Josephine Village On-Line a 'news portal.' However, there is no reason not to include your news in the Classifieds section of this site. You can also advertise your business in the Village Directory section for the world to see just as you would in the local paper.

'Broadband' and 'Narrowband'

Although some residents are starting to obtain access to 'Broadband' services, many still have 'Narrowband.' So to speed down-load times, you will not find fancy animations or bandwidth hungry animations to slow down access to the site. Some external links may take a long time to load, but this is outside of our control and we hope you still find the links useful.
