Well, it appears this entire thing is super out of date; we're in Epic 6 and this guide is still stuck in E4. I'm going to slowly renovate the pages to reflect the new changes.

I've added a new Skill card section to the Skills section. I don't think I can add a Guild section because I have a 20 page limit as a free member.April 20-something, 2008
I plan to add a skill cards section from one of the suggestions I received. Also, if I feel like it, I'll make a guild section.
And I am not going to make class-specific sections. Nor am I making a huge-ass database for mob drops and stats. That's... A lot of work. A lot more than I have patience/time for.

This guide has gone live. Enjoy, and be sure to refer anyone new to Rappelz to this guide. Or just until the GMs come up with a definitive guide on how to play their own game.
Well, I suppose you're here because you're looking to learn how to play Rappelz. In the next few sections, I plan to teach you a little bit about the basics of the game.
Don't expect to find class-specific guides here. I have yet to get a 2nd job character for each job. And even then, I'd just be a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. Therefore, if you're looking for specifics, please just head on over to the Rappelz Main Forums to look around in the class discussion page.
Rappelz is an MMORPG. It is confusing for new players who are the first of their friends to start playing. Trust me, Rappelz is much more fun with friends. However, even if you have a bunch of friends already playing, starting out is quite confusing. Although the NPCs on Trainee Island do sort of help you get along, it's kind of hard to understand what they say seeing as how Rappelz is prone to grammatical and spelling errors. I know it was hard for me when I first started playing.
So, welcome to "Understanding Rappelz: A Guide for New Players". My name is Jormungande and I play on the Bahamut server as a Warlock. I hope to untangle the mess that is Rappelz for you in a few pages of in-depth picture/text descriptions to clear up common misconceptions and teach you some basic things. You can go through the whole thing or choose which pages are of interest to you on the left-hand menu bar.
Hopefully, your in-game experience will be much better once you understand how the game works.
By the way, the sections labeled TL;DR mean "Too Long; Didn't read". I've made these sections just for people who don't like blocks of text and just want a summary of what is going to be taught in the section. Don't expect them for all of the sections.
