Emergency Financial Assistance

The Bradford Jonnycake Center offers emergency financial assistance to clients who need help in meeting obligations of rent, utilities, heating, etc.  Funds are also available for prescription medications, as well as other unexpected financial crises. Applicants are interviewed by a case worker from the “Commitment to Change” Program, funded by a grant from the United Way.  The Case Manager offers referrals to other services to assist clients in alleviating identified needs. Each application is reviewed by selected Board Members to determine the amount of assistance that may be granted to an applicant. Payments are made directly to vendors: utilities, landlords, pharmacies, etc Services are provided to residents of Westerly, Charlestown, Richmond and Hopkinton.

Appointments are necessary and are scheduled by the Case Manager. Appointment may be scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday by contacting 377-9067
