Jon Bramall has lived in Dudley Borough since he was 3 years old. Both of his parents have been councillors on Dudley Council. He is energetic and motivated and has 10 years experience of campaigning on local and national issues. He marched in London against the illegal war on Iraq and he is a Director and Company Secretary of an indoor skatepark. Jon was Chair of Dudley Youth Council and at the University of Essex he was elected Chair of the Liberal Democrat Society. Jon has also been involved with various human rights organisations.
He supports campaigning at local level because; "I feel local people are better at making decisions than politicians living hundreds of miles away". He believes strongly that the environment must be protected not just for our own futures but also for future generations. Jon says Labour and the Conservatives have forfeited the trust of the British people. He passionately supports the Liberal Democrats ideals of FREEDOM, FAIRNESS and TRUST and says they are what Dudley South and this country need.
Jon Bramall will be fighting for local people to get:
More police on the beat;
Pensioners a fair deal;
The Council tax scrapped;
Decent public services;
University fees abolished;
A firm but fair immigration system;
The environment at the heart of government thinking.
Jon Bramall says:
"We all know what Labour and Conservatives have done to this area and this country due to their constant fighting and putting spin before people. Our policies are fully costed and we would make a real difference to the lives of the many not the few. It is only the Liberal Democrats who are the real alternative in Dudley South at this election."
