Jul 30 :: What the brothers did today

And today JB golfed! Check out Cary News for a little peek at Jb’s day today.
In town for their “Burning Up” concert tour, the Jonas Brothers on Wednesday spent their time golfing, lunching at Applebee’s and and signing autographs for fans lucky enough to have gotten wind of their top-secret schedule.
The Cary News was in the press pool for the ride along to Eagle Ridge Golf Course and ending at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek for a sound check as fans began arriving for the concert.

Jul 30 :: Variety’s Power of Youth Event

Check out this article from US Magazine about this new event JB will be attending.
The Jonas Brothers are taking their new role as Power of Youth Ambassadors to a new level with the 2008 Target Presents Variety’s Power of Youth in L.A. on October 4.
“We’re doing whatever we can do make kids’ lives better,” Nick Jonas, 15, told Usmagazine.com as they toured St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Target House in Memphis on Monday.
“[It's] something that’s been in our hearts for a long time,” Joe Jonas, 18, told Us.
“Our parents and grandparents have all donated to St. Jude!” Nick added.
Nick’s personal health has given him insight into children’s issues.
“I’m a diabetic,” he said. “I know that when someone is diagnosed with something like that they feel alone. If we can just offer some encouragement even if it’s just taking a photo or signing an autograph then we’re doing our part to help them not feel so alone.”
Kevin Jonas, 20, was touched by the tour of the facility.
“It was very touching to meet all of these kids and look them in the eyes,” he told Us. “Even if it’s only for a moment, it helps to take that pain away. The pure joy in their eyes is possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life.”

Jul 29 :: What JB did today in Charlotte

News 14 Carolina has an article on the Jonas Brothers, and what they did today in North Carolina, since they have a show there tonight.
CHARLOTTE — Currently one of the most popular bands in the country, the Jonas Brothers are in the Charlotte area for this week’s concert, and their tweens and teens fan base is ready for the show.
“That was amazing,” said band fan Hayes Harvey after meeting the musicians. “It’s been my dream to meet the Jonas Brothers, and just meeting them was amazing for me.”
The group, made up of 15, 18 and 20-year old brothers, spent the day doing everything from pre-concert news conferences to a game of 90 degree kickball in designer jeans on Tuesday. For them, it’s tough to be just average guys.
“It is kind of a surreal feeling,” said Nick Jonas. “By now we’ve learned just to laugh when they’re running along the side of a bus, and we’re like, ‘This is a big bus, and you’re running on a highway.’”
But ask the three about coming to Charlotte for Tuesday’s concert, and you get what to some might be an unexpected answer.
“It’s always like coming kind of home because you have so many members,” said Joe Jonas. “Because our meet and greet list today is like 200 family members.”
Kevin Jonas scores a run during Tuesday’s kickball game. The area is practically a second home to them, as many of their family members live in Gaston County. Joe Jonas says coming to North Carolina helps them remember their roots. “When we’re here, we like to just kind of go all-American things like kickball,” added Joe Jonas.
To many, it’s the little things that separates the group from others, as something as simple as a game of kickball can transform the popular group into a typical band of brothers.
Tuesday’s stop is part of the group’s 41 city tour promoting their upcoming album. Wednesday night they will play in Raleigh.

There is a very large group of haters who are planning to email Rolling Stone complaining about JB being on the cover.

Jul 29 :: ST. JUDES and CINCINNATI, OHIO

Hi everyone!
Today was a life changing day. We got up really really early and caught a flight to Memphis, TN where we visited the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. This facility is where children with cancer go for treatment. We met so many of the kids and they were so happy to see us. Thanks to all of you we were able to leave them a check for $10,000. We really hope we will be able to do more. The children were inspirations to all of us.
After we finished we flew to Cincinnati, OH for another concert. We performed for approx. 15,000 people. The place looked packed. There was so much excitement in the place. It is always fun to visit Ohio.
We drove all night and woke up here in Charlotte. We will visit some of our family here and then do a show tonight.
We are so excited about our new song coming out on ITunes last night. When we woke up this morning it was already at No. 13. Make sure you take a listen.
Next week will be the last song before the CD comes out on August 12th…
