“What’s your favorite song?” Joe asked. “I would have to say ‘Please Be Mine,’” I said. “Really? We don’t hear that often.” Kevin said. “Have we played it on tour?” “Nope.” Nick said. “Oh. Well, we have to play it on Saturday for you!” Kevin said.
“You are 16, right?” Joe asked. “Yeah. I’ll be 17 this year.” I said. “So are you almost finished with school?” Kevin asked. “Kind of. I home school so I’m finished whenever I finish my work.” “Oh! We are too! We’ve been really busy so we got kind of behind.” Joe said. They got all excited when I told them I was home schooled like they are. =]
“Have you seen the new Pirates movie?” Joe asked.
“Yeah! I loved it!” I said.
“Yeah, we saw it a few days ago with Miley and (someone else LOL). We were this big group. It was awesome.” Kevin said.
“I thought it was ok, but I liked Spiderman 3 better.”
“Yeah me too.” I said.
By this time the photographer had come and he said that we should move tables because he wanted a picture. So we sat at a table closer to the street. He took a few pictures and then we started chatting again.
“So what’s your..eth..is ethnicity the word?” Joe asked Kevin and Nick.
“Yeah.” Nick said.
“Ok, so what’s your ethnicity?” Joe asked me.
“I am Mexican and Spanish.” I told him.
“Very cool! Do you have a lot of family there [in Mexico]?” Joe asked.
“Yeah a bit. My great grandparents live there and a whole bunch of family I don’t know. Haha” I said.
“Cool. Have you ever been to Mexico?” Joe said.
“Umm….no. I don’t really travel much.” I said.
“Have you ever been out of the country?” Nick asked me.
“Yeah, I went to Canada like 8 years ago.” I said.
“That’s cool. We went there once for a show. But we got rained out. It was crazy! The sound check was fine, but then it started raining!” Kevin said.
“So where do you live?” Kevin asked.
“I live in __ _____.” I said (sorry I don’t want to put where I live haha)
“Cool. What do you like to do there?” Kevin asked.
“Well, there isn’t much to do there. But I love going to Knott’s Berry Farm. I don’t know if you know what that is. Its an amusement park. Its really cool!” I said.
“Oh yeah! It was in Music and Lyrics! Did they film it there?” Kevin asked.
“No. Remember, ‘Knott’s Berry Farm cancelled’?” Nick said.
“Oh yeah…” Kevin said. “But that’s cool. We’ve never been there.”
“You have to go! Its so much fun!” I said.
After we talked about Knott’s Berry Farm and Music and Lyrics, Nick and Kevin started singing “Pop! Goes My Heart” from the movie. HAHAHA I was laughing at Nick and Kevin. Joe started telling me that he wanted to see the Transformers movie. We were getting impatient waiting for our milkshakes, but it was nice to get to talk to them a bit. When we finally got them, Nick and Kevin started gulping them down.
“Its sooooo good!” Joe said to me.
“Yeah! But it’s really thick!” I said.
“Yeah it is really thick.” He said.
We sat drinking the milkshakes while the photographer took pictures of us. After the pictures, we got up and started walking around. The photographer told us to walk toward him. He took a few pictures of us walking. Then we decided to go across the street to the Sketchers store. While we were waiting at the cross walk, Joe was talking to me.
“We just came back from the Bahamas a few days ago.” He said. “We stayed at the Atlantis.”
“How cool! I went to the Bahamas like 2 years ago.” I said.
“Cool! Where did you go?” He asked.
“I went on the Disney Cruise Ship so we went everywhere.” I told him.
“Very cool!!” He said.
We walked across the street to the Sketchers store. We took a few pictures in front. The photographer told Kevin to show me some shoes. He picked up these funky cheetah print heels. I laughed when I saw them.
“These are so awesome!” He said.
“Uh..yeah. Very interesting.” I said laughing.
He picked up some other heels that were more normal. “I think these are more your style.” He said.
“Yeah. Much better!” I said.
So after those pictures, we went inside. As we were walking in, Kevin asked me when my birthday was.
“December 28th.” I said
“So right around Christmas. That’s cool.” He said.
“September?” Nick asked.
“No, she said December.” Kevin said,
“Ohhhh….” Nick said.
I went a little nuts inside. I wanted to go in a million different directions at once. I was looking at this row of slip on sneakers. Kevin showed me a really cool pair with skulls. I picked up another and he all really liked it. Joe came over and picked up a pair I was just looking at. The photographer picked up a random pair of red flats. He told me to put them on so he could take a picture. I sat down and took off one shoe and put it on. Kevin, Joe, and Nick came over and watched me put the shoe on while the photographer snapped pictures.
“Do you like them?” Joe asked.
“Yeah, but its too small at the toe and too big widthwise.” I said.
“Wow. Too big and too small!” Kevin said laughing.
I decided not to get them. We walked down the street to another store. Kevin and Joe walked ahead, but Nick stayed back to talk to me.
“So what do you like to do?” He asked.
“Well, there isn’t much around where I live. So I like going to the movies a lot.” I said.
“Awesome.” He said.
We went to this cool little store next. It had a lot of funky and unique things. We took a few pictures and then I was allowed to shop a little. Their stylist helped me pick out a few things. Kevin and Joe showed me some cool things. Nick just stood back and watched. I started trying on some outfits with help from their stylist. Joe and Kevin went to the front of the store, while Nick stayed back with me. I tried on one outfit and the stylist handed me some cool heels. I put them on, but they were way too big. I almost fell when I started walking. She gave me some cute silver flats instead. They were still big, but it was much better. Nick walked with me back to the front of the store. They loved the outfit! It was a red shirt with this cross on it and a cool pair of jeans. The photographer took some pictures. Joe and Kevin said I needed a belt. So they each brought me one. Joe brought this brown one with cool designs on it. Kevin brought this one that was pink and glittery. We took some pictures with the belts.
“What’s your favorite color?” Joe asked.
“Blue.” I said.
He nodded and Nick looked happy that I had said blue.
Then I headed back to try on another outfit. This one was a blue dress type shirt with black skulls all over it. The stylist liked it, but not the color. She gave me a red one to put on better. It was the same thing only red. I tried that on and she gave me a smaller pair of flats. They were still too big! She said I had small feet. So I went back to the front to take more pictures. They handed me a hat and a pair of sunglasses. I put them on. The photographer told me to lean on one of them. Nick was the closest so I put my arm on his shoulder. He put his arm around me and Kevin and Joe came over. We took a few pictures with that outfit. Kevin even put on this huge fur coat! He put his arm around me and I instantly felt hot. I wasn’t even wearing coat! Kevin took it off right away. He said it was burning in it! LOL I went back to change again. I put my own clothes back on. I came out with shoes in my hands. So I knelt down and put them on. I gave Ashley the clothes I wanted and she bought them. Nick waited for me to put on my shoes before he left the store. The stylist found a pair of flats that actually fit me so I got them.
We walked further down the street next. I stayed walking with Nick. We chatted a little. Kevin and Joe were walking behind us. An ambulance rushed down the street next to us. It was so loud! Nick covered his ears. So did I. Then I heard a dog howling from a car. It sounded so funny! Ashley told me that I had $100 left! I had spent $400 in that one store! So we went looking at jewelry and stuff. I picked up this cool white bag and we took a few pictures with it. Kevin and Nick liked the studs on it and Joe liked the little fringe on it. I didn’t have enough so I didn’t get it. Their mom got there around this time. She said hi to me and congratulated me. She also said she liked my hair.
We went to this little shop next. Kevin said that a lot of girls he knows buys stuff from there. I saw this charm bracelet I liked. I tried to put it on, but I couldn’t.
“Do you need help?” Nick asked.
“Yes please!” I said.
“Let me do it, Nick.” Kevin said.
“No. I got it.” Nick said.
He struggled with it for a while, but he finally got it. The photographer got a few pictures of it. I took it off and gave it back to the storeowner. On our way to another store, a lady from some other magazine asked if she could take a picture of the brothers.
“Ask the guy in the green shirt.” Nick told her. So she went.
“Send them to the manager. Let them deal with all that.” Nick explained to me.
Once the lady got approval, she took a picture of the brothers. She also took a picture of the stylist because she was “rock and roll”. Haha So Ashley said we had maybe 15 minutes left.
“$100 in 15 minutes. We can do that!” Kevin said.
“Do you like Ed Hardy?” Nick asked me.
“Yeah!” I said.
“Ok, let’s go there.” Nick said.
“Its waayyy over there, Nick. We won’t have time.” Kevin told him.
Nick looked disappointed. We went in this little store. This time the photographer wasn’t with us. I looked at some jewelry. Nick showed me this awesome pin that was zebra striped and was all fury. I picked a cool bracelet that had a star on it. All the Jonas Brothers liked it. The stylist showed me this really cool necklace that had a key and lock on it. It had earrings with it too. I decided to get it. I was trying on some rings next. Nick was also trying on rings. He picked up this cool pewter ring with a claw on it. Joe loved it. Kevin handed me his black scarf with skulls on it.
The stylist said I had enough for one more t-shirt. I picked this black and gray one with stripes.
“Awesome!” Kevin said. “You will be rocking it Kevin Jonas Style. Stripes are my thing.”
Ashley bought the last items and we left. We were on the street corner by Johnny Rockets now. I gave them each a hug and they said it was nice to meet me. My mom wanted to take a picture of all of us. So we did. Then they gave me another hug each. The jeans I had gotten still had the security tag on it, so Ashley went to get it taken off. I stood on the corner for a while with the boys. Then we went to our car. I watched them chat on the street corner from the car. Ashley came and gave me the jeans back. Then the driver took off. I was sooo tired, but extremely happy. The boys were so nice. It was truly a great day.
